User profile without phone key?

So I'm teaching my teenager to drive... and of course he needs to move the seat/mirrors/etc so I want him to have a profile in the car. But to create a profile, Tesla wants me to create the profile in the app and send him an invite, which also gives him access to the car? Now I trust my kid and all, but can I make him a profile that does not effectively give him a key to the car?

You can make a local profile using the car screen.

The car profiles don't have to be attached to a "key". Create a new profile from the cars interface and not your phone app.

Create a local profile for him via the car’s interface.

I'm sure he'll be using the card key? If so once you make that local profile you should attach it to that card. Done through the locks screen.

huh. I think once a child has a license and is able to drive alone it would be ok? You can set parental limits.
