This maybe a record on a Model Y - 231k miles, but looks like a desert car. Can't tell if FSD is included

i honestly have not seen one over 200k, i'm only at 30k myself. I also think the FSD being included (or not) is a big part of the decision here, since its worth $8k and more now that you can't get it. Just wanted to know what others think. Like if you buy it, transfer to another model Y, then sell it for a a little bit less. Worth the effort

My BIL 2020 MYLR LR AWD is over 260k on original battery. Real world he gets about 190 miles on a full charge.

No FSD on that one.

The battery replacement will cost as much as the car so just factor that in

jaqueh 2026-02-27 17:57

You have??? For sale??

Saloncinx 2026-02-27 18:37

Dang! I have a 2021 with about 75k miles so that's great to read

Brutaka1 2026-02-28 08:28

190 miles on a full charge with 260K miles? That's terrible!

Brutaka1 2026-02-28 08:30

How much do you think the batteries are?

Ok-Wasabi2873 2026-02-28 15:19

Real world numbers. The best our 2020 MYLR AWD ever did was 270 miles in the real world. That was when it was new with factory tires (which is only 9/32” tread depth). Our MYLR struggles to do 230 miles now in the real world and it only has 110k miles. The guess-o-meter says it’s 260 miles at 100% in our MYLR. 190/270 is 70% which is the estimated capacity with this mileage.

why do you need to replace the battery? I don't care if i only get 100 miles per charge, my daily life doesn't ask for more than 50. I have an ICE car for anything requiring a longer drive.

jaqueh 2026-02-28 15:45

At a certain point the battery will be degraded to a point that the car will no longer drive and it’ll be software locked to prevent a runaway event.

jaqueh 2026-02-28 15:46

The same price as what op said the car price was. 13k

MyMonte87 2026-02-28 19:20

when? at a million miles? are you talking from experience? or just making sh*t up?

jaqueh 2026-02-28 19:22

Mine failed at 55k miles and so has numerous other 2021s. It’s notorious with this model year. wtf is wrong with you if you can’t listen to people who actually own the car you lust after?

MyMonte87 2026-02-28 19:30

Ok now it’s looking like you are full of sh*t because you post about all things watches, bikes, guitars and some team with a 49 logo, and only have two Tesla posts. You would have been posting endlessly if you had any Tesla issues. Stop spreading FUD! For the record I have a MY that I love and will keep till the battery fails…at a million miles.

Huh? I’m a top commenter on this forum. I have 200k miles spread across my 3 teslas
