Upgrading my old model Y to the Juniper with FSD transfer

Upgrading my old model Y to the Juniper with FSD transfer. I loved my old model Y and I am sure I will love the new one. Not 100% sure if it is worth the upgrade but still excited.

Hey car twin :D I did the same thing, transferred my FSD over and traded in my old car. So far so good.

IIJackJackII 2026-02-27 07:37

Same. Upgraded my 2020 Y to a 2026 for the FSD xfer. It’s great!

fratzba 2026-02-27 07:56

Same thing here!

I find that FSD is much smoother and have more features than the 2021 MY. It even autopark at destination. Auto back out of my driveway or garage when FSD is activated.

spacecadet610 2026-02-27 08:48

when did you order?

WhaleDonation7 2026-02-27 13:07

Man the prices these are selling for right now are outrageous

Large_Guard2991 2026-02-27 13:23

Lol My Wife asked me if I wanted to do this last night so we could take advantage of the low interest rate. I already have 1.99, but she was looking at the 0.99. But I already transferred FSD once in 2024. Will they let me do it again?

PackFlat4321 2026-02-27 13:26

How long did the FSD transfer and trade in process take from start to finish? Was the transition smooth, or were there any issues?

K3jai 2026-02-27 13:59

Congratulations! 🍾

Neffy27 2026-02-27 14:24

If you don't week, you'll never know.

BigBrownBear28 2026-02-27 14:41

How much did they offer you for your car? I heard they’re not good with trade-in value.

StormTrpr66 2026-02-27 14:51

I have the exact same appointment time this morning. I'm in SoCal.

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 15:22

Congrats dude.

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 15:24

I ordered mine 4 days ago

StormTrpr66 2026-02-27 15:24

Same to you.

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 15:25

That’s awesome. I didn’t know it has new features

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 15:26

They’ll allow you to transfer it.

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 15:27

The trade in value was bad. They offered me 23k. But, when i see the Tesla used inventory, similar cars are going for 34k. Seems like a scam.

NettieV 2026-02-27 15:33

Love the red!

Competitive_Soup8188 2026-02-27 15:45

Sammmeee !! Upgraded from a 2021 MY to juniper & sooo worth it

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 17:10

My 3rd red Tesla 🫡

letsgoowhatthhsbdnd 2026-02-27 17:43

year and miles on your old one?

Pnhan89 2026-02-27 18:03

You tell them you wanna do a transfer and when you pick up your new car FSD should be on there and active already. That’s how it was for me at least. They did say that they wanted my old car to still be on my Tesla account when I’m taking delivery of the new car otherwise we would have issues with the transfer.

dellfanboy 2026-02-27 18:14

You don't need to trade in your car to do the transfer. I have an old 2020 model 3. Doing a transfer at the end of March for a new Model Y then selling the Model 3 privately.

ubermoxi 2026-02-27 18:45

I'm thinking about getting a new Model Y, and transfer FSD from my old Model 3. Not planning to trade in the old car. Did you initiate FSD transfer after you place the order for the new car?

cheapdvds 2026-02-27 21:19

Mine had a slight delay or maybe it was there but not fully activated. I had recalibrate the cameras so FSD was not active when I got home. But after I step out of the vehicle for 30 seconds and return and reopen the door and it's there.

PugMaster007 2026-02-27 23:21

Congratulations 🍾

abhishekc17 2026-02-27 23:39

I didn’t do anything. I believe it is automated when I was finishing the checklist task. The pre req is that the two cars need to be on the same account at the time of purchase and delivery

PsychologicalGoal927 2026-02-27 23:39

Before you take delivery, drive it to see if it has the front suspension clunking noise everyone is reporting

ubermoxi 2026-02-27 23:55

You were able to start the transfer within the app? And was the option available soon after you place an order?

abhishekc17 2026-02-28 15:44

Thanks man. It was all good.

abhishekc17 2026-02-28 15:45

Yes. I was able to initiate the transfer when I bought the car.

abhishekc17 2026-02-28 15:47

2022 MY dual motor red 44k miles

abhishekc17 2026-02-28 15:48

Correct. I didn’t initiate fsd transfer during the ordering process

ubermoxi 2026-02-28 15:49

Thanks. Tesla just updated the terms, it now says the new car be delivered by end of March. 😠

ParfaitPositive810 2026-02-28 23:51

Yes, for a limited time. We transferred FSD to our 2024 Model Y and transferred to the 2026 Juniper that we just picked up the other day. I traded in my 2025 model 3 for the Juniper.

NettieV 2026-03-03 16:35

We have blue and it is pretty, but I keep telling my husband I want red!
