Going from 101XL to 107XL tires - 42 psi to 35 psi - safe?

>but 35 psi might give me the comfort I'm looking for. Do not rely on tires for a more comfortable ride in general. On the pre Juniper Model Y, it's about the suspension. IIRC you can set the tire size in the car. Unsure if that helps with TMPS. You can also dig through the hidden service menu to see if you can set an offset for it. Getting to it isn't a secret or voids your warranty.

Yea I went to 18" actually on mine but you can't go anything less than I think 37 psi or else the car constantly tells you the pressure is too low. I would also like to run a lower PSI like 35 like the tires are designed to handle with that weight. Pretty sure there is nothing you can currently do to avoid the warning.

Appreciate the feedback. I personally have changed the car setting to 20” Induction, and no warning even at 35.00 psi and above. As soon as you get to 34.99 and below, it’ll warn you again. I got the decimal place from home assistant integration. I set mine to 36.0 psi, and it fluctuates to 35 or 37 depending on weather. Question: what tire size do you pick? any thoughts on comfort/efficiency?

I went with 245/50R18 - BF Goodrich Advantage Control All Season. I'll try changing the setting to inductions (Ironically my car came with 20" Inductions on it originally). I guess I figured the 37 PSI warning was regardless of which wheels you had it set to in settings. Yes for sure the 18" helps make for a smoother ride. These BF Goodrich have really lasted as well, I have about 30K miles on them and they are still above 50%, the original tires the car came with were down to like 30% after only 10K miles. Edit: Fixed my tire size after I checked a photo.

Thanks for sharing. I would just double check the wheel setting. Weirdly I got warning when set to 19” Gemini, but no warning on the induction at 35 so far.

Yeah I see they added an 18" option now in the wheels that didn't used to be there, I picked the 18" wheels and you would think that would change the recommended tire pressure but it still says 42 anyways.
