Tesla has had server issues this morning but I assume they will get fixed soon. I’ve read your phone key won’t have issues

Had the same issue today. Went away by itself

Same. Currently sitting at Tesla Service Center in San Antonio and it’s a shit show. They can’t access customers cars unless the customer brought a key card. They can’t give loaners out. What a disaster!

Well yes, phone key is Bluetooth and doesn't contact the internet.

Wow crazy

Yeah going off whatever one esle is saying. HTTP 500 error code is just a communication error stating the server couldn't be reached at the time for whatever reason. Once communication is restored, so is the access. When you see that on website or anything connecting to a server know it is an issue on the receiving end not yours. It's what we call a catch all error due to the system isn't sure why it happened, but has to give you a reason by design.

Same. Keeps coming and going for me. It clears but then comes back.

Looks like it’s fixed for me now. For some reason charged jumped to 99 percent immediately.

While people are reporting issues on Teslas end, I've also had issues when I've had system wide ad blockers active on my phone. Just in case that's your situation and it happens when Tesla isn't the problem.

I restarted iPhone then it started working

DonnyDonster 2026-02-25 15:44

It's back up on my end, but yes also had the same problem

Slavichh 2026-02-25 15:47

They can give loaners out, just has to be physical key Source: dropped it off this morning while the issue was arising

gblansten 2026-02-25 15:53

I think all is well again.

lshaped210 2026-02-25 17:31

Yes they can. If they have the key cards ready to go. The San Antonio location was running around programming a bunch of key cards in a panic.

I moved by service to next week from today due to this, they told me they can't do loaners
