Apparently it comes with a 5G modem, but the plan they’ve negotiated is 4G only.
Pretty sure it does. Tesla just hasn't enabled it so the customer facing menu still says 4G. You have to go into the service menu to verify the modem. 1. Tap on your car icon on the bottom left of the screen. 2. Go to Service. 3. Then go to Software. 4. Press and hold your car’s name (for about 5 seconds). 5. A small window will pop up asking for a code — type service (all lowercase). 6. Once in Service Mode, select Infotainment → Connectivity. 7. Look for a box labeled Modem → Modem Type. • If it says AG555RGL, you have the 5G modem. • If it says AG25RGL, you have the 4G modem.

Got the same here but in December with light headliner. Ordered September. Interesting about fsd. I was surprised it said my trial was good through May. You are saying yours is May as well. I imagine they were planning the February FSD change back in September?

No I was very thorough when looking it over at the dealership, and everything is tight and the panels are straight and even, all the doors and latches work great. And it’s much more comfortable and smooth than I thought. Our last car was an Audi, so we were used to a pretty smooth ride, and this is every bit as smooth

So far so good, I haven’t taken it on a real bumpy road yet, but I can tell it’s not as bad as some people make it sound. Coming from an Audi, it feels pretty similar.

No it’s just a Performance, but it has a similar badge on the seats and trunk. Super fast tho, I couldn’t imagine wanting to go any faster. I have a lot of hills around my house, and I hit 0-60 in 2.5 seconds going downhill

Same here. Ultimately decided on the black as I felt it contrasted best with the silver. The white is super popular though and looks good too. You can't go wrong with either really.

We are considering the Y. How do you like it?
It’s exceeded all of my expectations so far. It’s my first EV, so that in itself is a big change. But the performance model y is the perfect blend of style, comfort, and performance, for a pretty decent price too. You won’t find anything close to this in features and performance for this price.
What state do you live in and does weather effect you or the car in anyway? RWD or AWD?
I live in the south US, so no worries of snow, and only a couple months of chilly weather. I’d be a little nervous about it if I had to drive in snow every year, but that’s with any car really, the salt and ice is pretty rough on vehicles. Cold weather makes the batteries take longer to charge, and lowers the mileage a little.

So far it’s way smoother than I was expecting, I had been reading about a stiff suspension that could feel every bump, but that hasn’t been the case with me so far. It’s very smooth.
I got a 2021 myp.. I’m gonna assume it’s light years compared to my ride… what I’m interested in is how it handles the multiple consecutive bumps in the road.. for example a cobble stone road.. my year MYP was so trash over them.

I never drove an older model y to know the difference, but I just couldn’t be any happier with this. It drives like a very well built car, and the speed and handling is spectacular. Coming home and putting it on the charger makes me smile every single time. Everyone I know is gushing over it, I think I’ve convinced like 10 people that it’s the car of the future and they want one now. For $60k you just can’t beat it. It performs better than some $100k+ vehicles.
I havent heard a single rattle or clank yet, and I live on a fairly bumpy paved road that has lots of bumpy sections that were poorly repaired. I’ve had the car for less than a week, Time will tell…

Well done! Those seats look good. I’m not a big fan of the seating posture in my LR, so I use a rolled up yoga mat for lower back support. The old seats were bliss, and these look close to those!

How long did you have to wait from when you first placed your order? I put my order in early February and my initial pickup window was late March. Now it recently got updated to say early April to May. I was supposed to return my leased model 3 when I pickup the MYP but its all messed up now because of the delay. Im considering just switching to the Premium AWD since there are some available in inventory.
It was 6-7 weeks total wait time, if you are already close to that I would imagine it would be coming soon
