Looks incredible at night!

Was FSD available right away when you left the dealer? I was reading through either the manual or one of the tutorials in the app and I saw a mention that it can take a brand new vehicle a few miles for the system to calibrate itself and make FSD available.

Yes it was immediately available from where they had it parked for me to pick up. I could have left the parking lot on FSD.

Nice. Hopefully that's how mine will be. My appointment to pick it up is this Saturday morning.

I pick up mine tomorrow and hoping for the same.

there used to be a calibration wait for the first 100 km before allowing auto pilot but that was a few years ago. maybe they have enough data now that it's not needed?

kuhnboy 2026-02-24 22:35

I picked mine up somewhere between 7 and 15 miles and was able to FSD off the lot.

Honestly I had FSD drive 90% of the way to and from work today. Count me mindblown. Previous car was a 2018 model 3 with Enhanced Autopilot

This when I picked up my ‘24 MYP.

It took 30 minutes for me to calibrate my MX and then a day later I got the newest update.
