Price Check - 2023 HW4

Price checking on a model Y we found that’s a 2023 with HW4 that has 40k miles Long Range AWD. Currently sitting at $27.4k. Is that a good price for those miles? I know it’s not “high” mileage but it’s definitely higher than we wanted. Used to ICE for sure I’m guessing 40k miles on these is nothing.

That is a very good price. I paid $32400 last month for a HW4 2023 Model Y AWD long range with 30.800 miles but mine had EAP which cost me only $2k to upgrade to FSD. Mine came with upgraded paint and seat colors and 20 inch Wheels.

I paid $30k in August for the same trim, year, and miles but with HW3.

For reference, I paid almost $30k for a 2022, hw3 (I think), 31k miles, awd, and long range

Yeah I’m gathering from the comments there’s something horribly wrong with the vehicle they aren’t disclosing. Seems too good.

How long has it been listed for? If not long it is possible the seller doesn't know the value add of HW4. It is still under warranty so way less risk with it. Did you see it in person?

Seams reasonable. 40k miles isn’t nothing on a Tesla. Teslas can last 200-300k miles but the suspension and other interior parts can really fall apart after 100k miles.

I would compare with the warranty you get if you buy used from Tesla. On mine they added an additional 1 year (or 10k miles, whichever comes first). They also added Acceleration Boost (software upgrade). But a 2023 with 40k miles is still under warranty. Unless the previous owner(s) did something abusive to the vehicle, I would imagine Tesla will honor that to fix anything that might have gotten messed up. If you can get the suspension inspected, and the door sills checked for rust, particularly the rear hatch is more prone to corrosion depending on where it was driven. I hope you found a good deal! I was replacing a 2011 Ford Fusion, so it was substantial upgrade for me.

Maybe not horrible but there is a reason it's $27.4k. Substantial cosmetic damage, bad carfax, etc. I paid about $31k for a 2022 MYLR AWD w/ 16k miles & HW3 in October.

Is it private party? Local dealer just sold hw4 2023 awd for 29k Saturday. Online meter said fair price. Great condition. If the warranty is still in place- which it should be as hw4 came out mid to late that year - the risk sounds fairly low.

Learning more about the dealer. Pretty certain it’s a bait and switch. Most reviews talk about 4-8k of fees that get added once you’re there. They also will not do OTD over the phone.

Usual dealership shenanigans. Check Tesla used website, 1. They add 1Y / 10k miles warranty, 2. The price on used usually drops every night at around 2:15am PST until sold or hit the threshold then shoots up.

I just bought a 23 HW4 with 39K miles for around 30K. That's with some haggling with a dealership that did not realize what they had. Long-Range AWD in white. 27.4 would be a steal. I looked nationally and they do not last long with HW4.

Jumping on this question, thoughts on a 2023 MYLR with 52k miles and HW4 for $27000? My other option is a 2023 MYLR with 85k and HW3 for $20,000
