couldn't pass 0.99% offer, ordered premium AWD Red + White my demo drive list \- Premium AWD ( extended 48 hours) \- performance ( 1 hr 2x) \- Premium RWD (1hr) \- back to back Premium AWD and Performance (2 hrs total) I wanted to order performance and tried to convince myself to order one and hence more than 1 demo drive but my priorities were quiet and comfortable ride over acceleration. observations based on cars i driven for demo drive and from my friends so it's subjective \- ride comfort even with 20" on AWD is better than performance; 19" takes it even further on AWD \- cabin noise is more on performance \- performance didnt blew me away even with mad max + insane (in comparison of AWD) off course its quick \- seats on performance are far better but not night and day difference \- i dont know why but thigh extensions on performance were more pain than help (I am 5'11") \- Financials- couldn't justify 10k+ difference (w/3.99 apr) and 14k+ difference (w/5.29 apr) for like to like AWD ( I don't care about tow, logos/badges) \- for most of the time I'd drive with FSD and it sucks to purchase without Autopilot performance as it is still a great car and probably at unbeatable price for what it offers but it's not a sports car its still a family car with insane speed which 99% people dont need. hope this helps to folks with similar questions I had leading up to purchase.

What did you think about the RWD vs the AWD. With them virtually the same vehicle without the second motor, I’m leaning towards a RWD purchase, but haven’t been able to test drive one, one the AWDs have been available

If you are getting it for city drive RWD is more bang for the bucks; not a huge difference for day to day drive

Congrats! I am in the same boat with the same window. I ordered a Red/Black performance. I loved the premium test drive, but as soon as I test drove the performance that sealed the deal for me. The seats (to me) felt significantly more comfortable although I agree, thigh bolster is sort of a gimmick. (6'2") The insane power made the premium feel like it was sitting still. Overall though, the APR on the premium is killer!! The toughest decision to go with the Performance was allowing Tesla to bend me over a barrel. You are going to love it!

Just my ten penneth. Not realising at the time, I test drove the AWD and then ordered the RWD long range (as range was my only anxiety). Upon receipt of the RWD I wasn’t disappointed in the least. There being a 6 week gap between driving them both probably helped, but I didn’t feel at all underwhelmed with it being not much over half a second 0-60 different. After all at 5.4s it’s still quicker than then c300e I had previous or even the 3.0d 3 series my other half used to drive. TBF I do tend to drive a little more conservative these days and it suits as it’s like it drives itself (the one pedal accelerate/braking is a far changer). I’m 6.5 months and 9.5k miles in and every journey still feels that bit special. Think I got lucky as no gripes with any creaks etc (German built).
