What ceramic wax did you use? Looks amazing!
Griot's Garage Ceramic 3-in-1. A very light application and then hand buff with new microfiber towel. For my deionized water I use an iSpring RO/DI system and a 7.5 gallon container with a small electric pump.
Thanks!
Looks amazing!
Thank you! I think most of the credit goes to Tesla, the deionized water, and the wax. I was just in the right place at the right time. :-)
Hi I understand it’s fairly new car, but did you clay bar first? If so which brand
No clay. For what it’s worth I’ve been maintaining a 2023 BMW X7 (in Brooklyn Grey) this same way and the clear coat looks virtually new 3 years later. But I live in a climate (suburban Southern California) that is pretty easy on paint. Full procedure: - rinse with pressure washer 40 degree nozzle 4.0 aperture to get the gritty stuff off - hand wash with meguiar gold class, straight wipes - rinse with pressure washer again - flood with DI water - hand dry focusing mostly on glass - every few months Griots SiO2 wax hand apply hand buff (using two new towels because why not)
Thanks so much. I just bought a used Tesla and Claybarred to start but am in winter season (had a few nice days). Will re apply a nice wax again after but did see significant difference in feel on my paint. I’m also working close to a fairly active rail yard area, industrial, part. So we’ll see.
Love the color of yours also. Always reminds me of Iowa state. Roll clones!
