Stealth Grey Vs QuickSilver - MYP, Help make my decision!

osuljj84 | 2026-02-21 19:31 | 2 views

Currently slated to get the 2026 Tesla Model Y in either Stealth Grey or Quicksilver - will be applying Satin/Matte PPF to whichever color we decide on\* Have a slight lean toward Quicksilver since it's a little more unique, 'costs extra', and feels really sleek. Though it does seem to be the more popular choice, all other things equal. Even though Stealth Grey is the 'default' option, i actually feel like it matches the best with the wheels / calipers and am I sucker for the dark/'blacked out' look, even though it's harder to keep clean.. What do you recommend? What do you own? Bonus points for those with pictures, especially that had Matte wrap done :) TIA!

Too many matte PPF on TESLA MY’s here out west. Yawn 🥱

Thankfully people are boring over here in the NE and just drone around in whatever was originally purchased :)

I went with stealth grey because it’s free and looks good. Hard for me to justify paying more for a color that is subjectively better/worse when the free option is just as good if not better based on subjectivity. I do imagine that because it is the default free option it will likely be more common so if you don’t want to see many other cars like yours and that matters to you then maybe quicksilver.

Quicksilver looks amazing.

Get quicksilver so you see where the doorhandles are in the dark.

Quicksilver

LoneStarGut 2026-02-21 20:19

True. I have dark blue and it is hard to see them at night.

MhVRNewbie 2026-02-21 20:24

Some lights would have been nice.

There’s way too many Stealth Gray on the road, go with Quicksilver to stand out.

AlexW_21 2026-02-21 21:00

Just use the extra money saved to wrap in a better color than… quicksilver 🤮

Joe_Immortan 2026-02-21 21:41

Not performance versions.

IceOnFire77 2026-02-21 21:45

You literally can’t tell the difference outside of the red brake caliper covers. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Quicksilver

Quicksilver catches my attention every time I see one. I would get Quicksilver.

Quicksilver.

We got QS… free during a promo but we were still willing to pay for it. I actually asked GPT what is the best color combo statistically for future resale value. So QS and the white interior is what we got.

Played out

Quicksilver looks real nice on the y performance

tmac9134 2026-02-22 01:30

Can’t beat quicksilver black wheels and tinted front windows

Mastaking 2026-02-22 03:04

I have quick silver and stealth gray looks better to me

osuljj84 2026-02-22 03:04

Everything?

Zestyclose_Paint3922 2026-02-22 03:06

I think Stealth Gray is the best color, it just happens to be “free”. I got a Juniper on it.

osuljj84 2026-02-22 03:08

Have it in performance?

meetneo911 2026-02-22 03:30

I wanted the QS but got the stock stealth grey.ultimately couldnt justify spending CA$2600 more.. but if you can..go for it..looks fab with white interior

osuljj84 2026-02-22 03:35

Have it in performance?

osuljj84 2026-02-22 04:49

Interesting, what makes you say that

Mastaking 2026-02-22 05:32

Sometimes I like my color but sometimes not. I feel like Stealth Gray is best for the refresh. The rear light bar blends the best with it. Also, everyone has Quick Silver

Ok_Enthusiasm_2574 2026-02-25 21:50

I had the options to get Stealth Grey or Quicksilver for the same price. I think QS looks really good during the night, but not as good during the day. This made me go with stealth grey. If you plan to get a PPF wrap I think Quicksilver looks really good with a matte wrap.

Just got my MYP in QS and it’s amazing. 👍👍🇺🇸
