FSD - passing behavior

Got my new MY yesterday and took it for a drive in standard mode. We were on a busy road and the left lane was backing up near a signal, so it went to right lane. It was cool until then . When the signal turned green it sped up suddenly to the short dedicated right only lane and then cut in front of other cars to get back to the right lane after the signal. Felt it was a dangerous maneuver, so I changed it to chill mode on the way back to avoid aggressive moves. Have anyone experienced this? Is there a way to avoid this or report to Tesla for them to fix it?

Ours has done a couple questionable maneuvers like that if the GPS and road signs aren't super clear about right/left only lanes. When it does it for me I disengage FSD before it can make the move and there will be a prompt to hit the mic button and give a 15 second verbal explanation of what happened. These all get reported to Tesla and reviewed to improve FSD functionality.

lol. Did it wreck or do something illegal? No? You already put it in chill mode now. Sit this one out newbie.

FSD will generally learn from those mistakes (getting into a turn only lane/merging lane).

I do a 450 mile stretch once a week. FSD is always giving me something to raise my eyebrows for. It's just smart enough to do some really stupid shit sometimes.

This is why it’s still a supervised system. I will say that it can make moves a little faster than a human because it can see more and process info faster. That said, some moves are still questionable and tough for other drivers on the road to predict.

Comments like this, scaring off people from using FSD only slows the improvement of the software.

Mine turned left onto the freeway because it got impatient.

No, if they are unfamiliar with FSD they should use it in Chill mode in traffic scenarios and locations they are familiar.

You don’t even have a Tesla so you have no say in this conversation. Milk before meat dude.

I have only used FSD once or twice lately but it changes lanes WAAAY too much for my liking. Even on chill mode!

I learned not to use Mad Max mode in the city, just for that type of situation. The fix, use one of the less aggressive drive modes.
