Read the manual. I’m not kidding. I’ve watched so many videos on Tesla “tips and tricks”, but I’ve still learned so many things from the manual. Just read it bit by bit every bathroom break or something.
I agree, all of the yt videos get a bit repetitive.
Take your time when you pick up your car. I took almost 30 min adjusting the seat and mirrors before I start moving the car slowly to drive home. Don't rush to drive out of the parking lot until you feel ready.
Congrats and welcome!
No auto steer is a deal breaker
Really check your car for any scratches, dents or imperfections. Make sure all the panels line up nicely and test the functionality of everything. Windows, motorized seats, folding mirrors, turn signals, etc. Make sure all doors work including the manual releases. Make sure all the cameras look clear and have no visible scratches on them. It will be harder to fix any issues the moment you drive off so make sure everything looks good before you accept delivery
congrats and welcome!
When you take delivery, watch the video in the car. No other advice/tips are really needed, I found the best thing was to experience it on my own.
🔥🔥💫
Congrats.. please wait a few weeks before you complain of the automatic wipers. Give curbs extra room!
How is that different? Wont they just tell you “it is within specs“ and then take it or leave it?
Please please read the manual. There has been too many times where people don’t know how to perform simple tasks that the manual outlines for you in detail. Other than that, you should be good. Enjoy your car and drive with no regrets!
Welcome to the club! Watch the demo video and read the manual. Tons of people dont do it.
Congratulations!!
Yeah I was driving my used model y home 600 km from the tesla store. After the weather changed and I needed to use the windshield washer I was sure it was broken or delivered without washer fluid. Without seeing anything for 10 minutes I finally reached a store and bought washer fluid and filled the car up. Still nothing on the windshield after pressing the button. I was looking up the number for the store when I hade a thought, maybe I should look up how to actually use it, maybe I am doing it wrong? I am normally a technical person, and have never felt so stupid as when I realized I had to press the button deeper 😅
Looks great. Are you planning on charging at home? (You really should if possible.) I'm assuming you're in the US for the following info: There can be several options for charging . I chose to split my 220V 14-30 electric dryer connection and use the mobile charger for both mine and my wife's cars. My dryer outlet was close to my garage so it works out great. I got a "smart" box on Amazon that senses when the dryer is on and will cut power to the EV charger so it won't blow the fuse. But if your electric panel is close by, or actually in the garage, you or an electrician can hardwire a 60A wall charger which can charge faster. If you're going to not be driving super long distance daily, you may be able to get away with the 120V mobile charger connection as it can only charge 30ish miles per night depending when you actually plug in. Otherwise congrats and enjoy the new ride!
Thank you!
