You should not be coming to Reddit for advice on something that is very much a safety concern. You should get your second opinion by a professional who can actually inspect the wheel in person.

Bin it. Welding these sorts of alloys is very difficult as the part has been very specifically heat treated. Very likely the weld would fail catastrophically. Not worth the risk.

Let me guess, 21" rims with the very low profile 35 sidewall tires? I would replace all the rims with 18" ones and get some tires with some decent sidewalls on them. Better ride, cheaper tires, less risk of damage due to potholes.
