Used tesla miles

Looking at getting a used 2023 LWAWD HW4 from either tesla or carmax. From what I am seeing, the best price I can find on one with around 20k miles is $33,300, whereas the best price I can find for one with around 40k miles is around $29,000. Is it worth the extra $4k for fewer miles, or should I save my money?

You're lucky you can test drive it. Do so.

Depends on how much you drive, and if you want the cushion for the factory warranty.

Dang - Where were those deals when I bought mine at the end of last year? All of the 2023 MYLR AWD HW4s were $38k+ pretty much regardless of mileage. I bought a 2023 MYLR AWD with HW3 for $30k with 15,000 miles, the blue color I liked, and the 20" wheels. I thought that was a tremendous deal - but now I'm not so sure.

That price tracks based on what I’ve seen. But I was stalking used Y’s for several months and, consistent with today’s reporting, prices have only gone up. A month ago I picked up a 2023 LR MY with ~31k miles, HW4, and matrix headlights for $31,500. And that was after haggling on price and concessions (so that price does reflect the value of all the concessions I bargained for, too). But like you I wanted blue, and those are generally harder to find and a touch more expensive as a result.

I got a 2023 MYLR AWD with HW4 (built November 2023) with 30,000 miles for $32,400. Also blue with white interior and 20 inch wheels. It came with EAP so I was able to buy FSD for $2k.

What concessions did you get? I was able to get new tires and the rims fixed

They did the obvious stuff I’d expect from any seller: paint touch up and buff, detailed in and out. But here’s the extra stuff I negotiated for: -Tesla mobile charger -J1772 adapter -black wheel covers -the tires were shot, so they paid half for a full set of new CC2 tires (~$700 value) -they did an alignment after tire install -they included an extra key card -they installed mud flaps I provided -included a new parcel shelf (it was missing) Edit: car had a clean carfax and was a clean one-owner; 97 Recurrent score. It also had the Homelink module installed (score!!) and 10 more months of premium connectivity that carried over even after transferring ownership.

Check to see if the oil has been changed regularly.

Is that near the blinker fluid?

Yes, adjacent to the timeless belt.

Let me get out my left handed wrench and pop that baby open.
