Autoplay Bluetooth Music

masterballz | 2026-02-17 16:05 | 20 views

Anyone get bluetooth music to autoplay in their Tesla Model Y? I have to unlock my phone and start Spotify every time to get music to start playing. I have an iPhone 15 Pro. I've tried shortcuts to open Spotify when it connects to my car, but it requires my face unlock to run the shortcut. I have Spotify and YouTube Music if either makes a difference.

I’ve got a 2020 MYLR and an iPhone 17pro. I don’t use Spotify, but I have a plex server at home and my phone will automatically connect to the car and if the last music source was my phone it will automatically show the phone as the selected source through Bluetooth. Then I use Plexamp to access my music.

My phone does automatically connect to the car, but the music won't show up and start playing until I open Spotify.

Having the same issue on my 2024 MYLR using YouTube Music from my phone. I have to open the app once the car is on in order for it to start playing again.

Mine shows up on the lower left corner of the display. I just tap the play icon.

I’ve struggled with this and managed to get a shortcut that half works. It’ll detect that if connected to the car’s BT and then open Spotify on the phone so hitting play in the car screen starts the music. Can’t wait for this to be a non-issue when Tesla supports CarPlay!
