$403 CAD + Tax for Warranty Inspection

My 2022 Model Y is reaching its end of warranty. Was reading through and found lots of discussion on booking an end of warranty inspection. Went ahead and booked it through the app and was surprised to see the cost of $403 + tax (CAD). Wondering if it’s worth it? Tesla also said I won’t get a loaner unless they find issues with the car. They also confirmed the inspection cost will not be waved whether they find issues or not. I called a local shop (Evolution in North York) and they said their inspection would be $200 (mainly focusing on suspension elements). Thinking the play is to take it to the local shop then book a service appointment at Tesla if any work is needed. Thoughts? And also anyone have experience with Evolution / any other shops that do inspections in the GTA?

Tbh I wouldn’t do a warranty inspection at Tesla. Not saying they would lie but perhaps going to a private garage would be better?

I did mine at Tesla last week at Oakville, they replaced suspension, one of the valves for the hvac, and a few other minor things such as replacing the rear trunk strut even adjusted the trunk gap as it shifted one time when I force fully tried to close it Edit: cost was 378 including tax

How did you request the inspection in app and what did you ask them to check for?

Get the inspection from Tesla u need it for the extended warranty and you’ll want the extended warranty as it covers bushings and ball joints and they will go very soon and that’s the cost of the extended warranty alone. If u lose the heat pump that’s more than the extended warranty. If u lose computer that’s more as well. Don’t ask me how I know. If I had bought the extended warranty I’d be 12k richer and I’ve only been out of warranty 9k km
