Help! I’m new here…please be nice

90dayhell000 | 2026-02-17 01:53 | 17 views

I got my 2026 model Y 3 days ago. It’s my first Tesla/electric car. I got these two error messages close together tonight. Any insight on what they mean? I also have a sentry alert that never loaded from earlier today. I can see it’s there but the image and details never loaded in the app. Any help is very much appreciated! I’m loving my car just confused (my husband checked the charger and the wall and neither were hot and it was green and my car was charged to 80% and still plugged in) i did try to search on here and Google so please be kind. Thanks so much!!

I haven't experienced either of those errors, however if you have a 2026, it will be under warranty!

I would unplug it and plug it back in and see if it happens again. Sentry could be the usb thumbdrive, unplug it and replug it see if it happens again. You can go to service in the Tesla app and ask the ai what those errors mean and it will give you some details and trouble shooting tips or just go to request service and send a message asking the same questions and have a tech help you, shouldn’t cost you anything.

It never hurts to restart your computer as a first troubleshooting step. Hold down both scroll wheels on the steering wheel (while parked) until the screen goes black and reboots. I had to do this on my 2023 MY the other night when I got in the car after dinner at a restaurant and everything was black, yet music was playing. First time I have had to do it in months btw.

I asked Grok about the first message. Here's the link. https://grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5LWNvcHk_e7e67560-8ff9-498f-ab68-6e25e23462eb There is a lot of information there but like another already said you should use the Tesla app under Service. There is a section called "Ask a question" where you can pose your question. Be as verbose as you need to be. You are interacting with Tesla's AI. If you feel the need to push it further or the message returns repeatedly you should elevate your experience to a Service Request.

I 2nd this solution…if this doesn’t work- request a Service Appointment through the App. Good luck 👍

OP, you don’t have to beg for people to be nice but you do need to take some smarter routes. Why didn’t you just submit a maintenance request? That should have been your one and only direction. My guess is the two are correlated to each other but it’s a new car with a warranty, use it. It’s extremely strange that people turn to Reddit as their first option of a fix.
