Temperature gauge?
The outdoor temperature on my screen has been showing about 40 degrees below the real temperature. The car is about 2 years old, in Massachusetts. Will this get better on its own when things warm up?

I doubt this will fix itself. It’s not like the car says 79 and your phone says 80, a 40 degree difference sounds like something needs to be replaced.
Ouch. Anyone else have this problem? I assume it’s not under warranty.
Maybe under the 50k mile warranty.
I have a similar problem but only when I let the car "warm up" before we leave. My thought is that the sensor is near the heat pump (radiator) on the car so when it is getting warm in the car the "radiator" is getting colder and making the sensor think it is colder than it really is. It levels out to "normal" once I start driving a bit.
