Update 2025.45.10 on Tesla Model Y Performance 2026 ruined Climate controls

Successful_Level548 | 2026-02-16 01:22 | 20 views

After update my car yesterday the climate control turns ON by itself and sometimes won’t let me turn it back off, when I’m able to do it it turns right back to ON right after 1-3 minutes. What is going on are some people here experiencing that?

Nope. Try rebooting the car. Press down on both thumb scroll buttons until the screen shuts off and the Tesla logo appears.

tried that, also did a factory reset and tried Power Off and nothing. Yours has 2025.45.10 on MYP 2026?

TotaledWithinSpec 2026-02-16 01:56

Yes, is this FSD 14.2.2.5? That’s what my car (‘26 MY) updated to this morning. Mine is just the Premium non-performance model though.

Successful_Level548 2026-02-16 01:57

yes it is FSD 14.2.2.5, I got a video not sure if I can share it here

Is it showing any errors or service notifications? Are you able to get into Service Mode?

Successful_Level548 2026-02-16 02:01

No showing errors I can get into service mode but not sure what I can try there.

TotaledWithinSpec 2026-02-16 02:09

When you go into Service Mode you can checkout the Service Alerts and see if there’s anything related to HVAC or blowerfault. Other things to check: Cabin Overheat Protection, Scheduled Preconditioning Tesla can also remote diagnose, though I’ve never tried this myself.

Successful_Level548 2026-02-16 02:11

Yeah even with pre conditioning and cabin overheat off, I will try to check the service logs and ask Tesla to see if they can downgrade me to the previous version. Thanks

Do you have a screen protector on your screen? If so, that could be the culprit

Successful_Level548 2026-02-16 03:21

Yes, but the car wont let me turn it off the option is completely disabled and the screen protector was installed before the update and everything was working perfectly :(

JGoldz75 2026-02-16 03:23

Maybe try removing the screen protector completely and see if that is the issue. Or to test before you ruin your screen protector... Turn the A/C off and then immediate turn on "Screen Cleaning" mode and see if the A/C stays off beyond the 2-3 minutes.

Good idea, you’re smart I never thought about trying that! Solution: Asked Tesla via app if they could resend the firmware update over the air, they did and I re installed it and now is fixed! Yes, reinstalled the same version
