Black headliner

It hides the greasy handprints from Tesla service people better.

Aesthetically, it doesn’t match anything else on the whole car.

It looks way more luxurious!! Light headliner reminded me of my Honda accord as a college student.

I'm with you. I think black makes the car feel smaller and darker. I got white seats just to make my car feel brighter inside and am glad I got the grey headliner.

Along with the headliner comes the bigger (Higher Resolution) screen. The better screen is is worth getting the black headliner even if you do not like it.

I prefer the black headliner specifically on the A pillars. It helps by reducing the reflections in the windshield.

It’s the same material just a different color. Not sure why the color black makes something look more luxurious? If you said it was leather and not cloth I’d understand.

I would never want that black headliner. It’s gonna show every scuff of bit of dirt.

Model S/X have had it forever, maybe a trying to keep up with the Jones’s kind of feeling. Honestly though I think it just works better at masking stains. The S/X have Alcantara so even still it’s no direct comparison just an attempt to look like it with a darker interior cabin which ultimately makes it look smaller.

Buddy people are saying the color grey makes it feel like more space when it’s literally the same black or grey. Some people just rub on feelings and not facts

I’m saying the opposite of that. The off grey *doesn’t* match anything. It’s always bothered me.

Well, for one, I'd say feelings are subjective, personal experiences that vary by individual, as they are shaped by unique perceptions, past experiences, etc ... still I'd prefer the OG liner

Personally I like the light headliner it breaks up all the black in the interior

The light-colored headliner doesn't match any other interior color. It clashes with the dark plastic, the black seats, and it doesn't go with the white seats either.

The grey shows dirt. Black hides it

It looks really good especially with white seats in my option. Otherwise there are too many different shades of color for different sections of the interior . with the ambient lights at night also looks cleaner and more upscale .

Because there are paid Tesla influencers everywhere and this is the only thing to push currently.

If they would have changed from black to gray it would have sounded the same.

You don't live in the desert where the dirt is light colored! Even with my blue Y the bottom half of my car the light dirt is so obvious. On black interior/seats every bit of dirt/dust shows, but it doesn't show on my white seats.

There it is again. Never realized the color black is considered upscale while the color grey is considered low class. You learn something new every day.

Mercedes AMG line or BMW M Sport cars have black headliners. It's more of a sporty look IMO.

As snobby as it sounds I personally think the Black headliner just looks way more classy compared to the Grey
