.99% is approx. $25-$35 a month on interest per month on top of your principal payment. Just buy the car now. Waiting isn’t worth saving $25 per month.

Considering there’s no more EV tax rebate, I would just say purchase now. 0.99% APR is the best you can get on a premium Model Y.

I’m waiting. I think there’s a good chance they’ll have to lower to 0% once the Rivian R2 is fully announced (mid-March). The current nationwide inventory levels of Y also keep climbing.

You’re joking right? Well, I guess the longer you wait to buy a Tesla the longer it is before you start coming to this sub to ask basic questions and nitpick things like the rest of the “coupon” tesla owners.

I just saw today that the new standard AWD model has 0% for 72 months. That's so tempting but I have a 2021 MY and not sure I can live without a few of the luxuries I'm used to. Although is HW4 with a Ryzen CPU and a much better suspension worth it?

They say STANDARD has same suspension as older Teslas MY. Only premium and performance trims got new upgraded suspension.

Don't think that's completely true. The difference is the premium has adaptive suspension and the standard doesn't. No review I read said the standard's suspension is the old one, if it was we would have seen a lot of complaints. I haven't driven a standard yet but it has to be better than my 2021.

0% on standard Y now, even AWD

I read a lot of standard vs premium comparison here on Reddit and outside. That's why they said it's not worth $5000 difference to buy Standard. I was thinking getting new standard too. My friend has 2023 Model Y Performance. And he's very upset with his riding experience and suspension. He said he test drove 2026 Tesla Y Premium and it was night and day to his 2023 MYP. I haven't tested new Standard either Premium yet, however I drove a little bit 2024 Model Y Premium and can't say I liked its suspension stiffness.

Adaptive is only on the performance models

Is it really a "coupon" Tesla owner to ask about financing rates though? While these finance threads are annoying to us regulars, there's a good reason why people are asking about 0% vs 0.9% vs 1.99%. While 1% seems like a small difference, going from 0.9% to 1.99% is literally double. If you were to loan 63k for example, over a 72 month term, it's the difference between $1.9k vs $3.8k - so imagine going to 0% - that's essentially 2k free money.
I think it makes sense for those who aren't needing a vehicle to wait for the deals at the end of a quarter -at least that's what I did end of last year. Ended up with the $7500 credit along with free ext/int colors on my Model 3 Performance. They originally wanted 5.9% but I waited till the 1.9% which was the cherry on top.
If you get so annoyed, how come you still bother to respond to these threads? I know you're blocking your post history but I've seen so many of your comments of you being bothered that it makes more sense to just not click into the thread.

Why not buy a used 2023, save like 20k and get a better car than the standard

Would we see better deals perhaps when the Rivian R2 launches ?

We see final details on the R2 in March. If they’re delivering sooner rather than later, possibly Tesla might do something? Tesla might do something regardless as it’s the end of the quarter, but it’s hard to say what that promo will be and if it will keep the 0.99% APR in place.
