I bought Model Y (2026 Refresh) and its been 2 weeks but no update. Stuck on 2025.44.300 and 13.2.9 FSD

tonyismailctg | 2026-02-14 16:54 | 22 views

I put the software update on Advanced and left it on Advanced since I got it as well. But still nothing. Any ideas?

Have you done a hard reboot holding both scroll wheels in? Do you have good wifi connection?

gheldean 2026-02-14 17:05

Patience, sometimes it takes a bit for a new car, unfortunately :(

umamiking 2026-02-14 17:17

This is going to be a rough ownership.

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 17:18

I have done it a few times, I tried reinstalling the software

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 17:18

why so? i’m new to tesla so I don’t know the ins and outs. it would be helpful to elaborate

itshukokay 2026-02-14 17:19

New cars take months to get updates. Also, “advanced” is a lottery. It’s not a release cadence.

pshifrin 2026-02-14 17:19

All of us who have a very recent LR AWD with the 16 inch screen and dark headliner are stuck on 2025.44.300 & 13.2.9. There must be some specific firmware needed for our updated hardware ie 4.5 which we all have too. MYP seem to be getting the update but not us.

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 17:21

is it confirmed that we have 4.5? the software says hardware 4 on mine. i have a quicksilver, hard headliner pAWD

pshifrin 2026-02-14 17:25

Yes the car says HW4 but if you physically pull down the carpeted panel below the glove box, you will see what the AP computer is labeled. It’s super easy and comes right off and goes right back on. I know Tesla says it was a “labeling” error but come on, there has to be some kind of revision even if ever so minor. If you look here, x and Tesla motors club forums, every single one of us, with a very recent AWD premium are stuck on this older version.

nintenden64 2026-02-14 17:28

I hear that newly delivered cars are purposely put on a factory firmware for a few weeks maybe even months before new updates go out to them. I find it to be true, I’ve owned two and it takes a while after delivery.

Sfkn123 2026-02-14 17:28

This question is asked all the time in this sub, so you'd get quicker responses by searching the sub. Welcome to the Tesla fam. I'd recommend reading through the manual, too. There's a lot of features! Edit: your account is 8 years old so I would be a little surprised if you didn't know how the search function works lol

pshifrin 2026-02-14 17:29

Another data point, my colleague just traded in his 2017 MX for a 2026 MX and he had 2025.45.9 / 14.2.2.4 on pickup.

StrikingComputer2705 2026-02-14 17:30

I just haven’t updated it yet, dont feel like it.

SpacePundit 2026-02-14 17:33

The biggest thing you can do for your mental health is give absolutely zero care about the latest software update and just update when it gives it to you

mikedeezy22 2026-02-14 17:36

lol. 2 weeks. We were stuck on that for 3 months.

[deleted] 2026-02-14 17:37

i was on latest firmware when i took delivery recently. it also had a weird bluetooth device already connected that obviously wasn’t mine. it was a brand new car with very low mileage. but i think the tesla service people did the upgrade probably before delivery.

javedk1 2026-02-14 17:52

Same experience for me just took delviery yesterday though. But honestly i hear 13.2.9 is very refined so i'm not sweating it

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 17:54

it is very refined. FSD is def amazing just not so much at night bc it does miss exits here and there. my brother’s truck is on 14 and it is beyond human like

Various_Sandwich_507 2026-02-14 17:56

Took my Y almost a month to get the update from factory firmware it came with.

javedk1 2026-02-14 17:56

yeah only thing i'm trying to figure out honestly right now is how to get it to pull into my garage which goes through an alley way and is at the back of my house. I'm gonna play around with it today.

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 17:59

i have heard that those learned behaviors occur more on fsd 14. my brother’s truck learned to back into his driveway on to the area right in front of where the mobile charger is. took a few months i think before it started doing that though

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 18:00

did you have to constantly connect it to a wifi?

here-to-crap-on-it 2026-02-14 18:06

There is no hardware 4.5, Tesla confirmed that was a typo and has since corrected.

Various_Sandwich_507 2026-02-14 18:07

I’ve read that keeping it plugged in and connected to WiFi helps, but honestly I have no idea. I think the updates simply get pushed as I’ve received them spontaneously after already manually checking earlier the same day. It only lets you manually check once every 24 hours so that’s how I figure it’s just getting pushed out regardless of you checking manually. My Y was parked at home with access to WiFi and generally plugged in, however, I’ve received updates while on the road. It just tells you that to download it you need to be on WiFi.

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 18:10

Thank you man K really appreciate your help!

Jedi_Gill 2026-02-14 18:40

Don't be a rush to get the latest update, often times they find mistakes and get corrected shortly afterwards.

Various_Sandwich_507 2026-02-14 18:41

No problem! Doesn’t hurt to check every 24 hours in the car, but I suspect you will get it when you least expect it as a notification on your phone. Try not to think about it. I know… it’s much easier said than done 😃

Distinct_Physics2008 2026-02-14 19:20

This is bizarre. How can a brand new car not automatically have the latest software??

FI_321 2026-02-14 19:57

Yeah, you’re on a factory build. I think I got my first update week 3 or 4.

Sigmabond2 2026-02-14 20:36

I have quicksilver premium AWD with the 16" screen and black headliner. I took delivery of last Sunday. Sitting at: MODEL Y DUAL MOTOR 423 miles Software: 2025.44.300 Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Software: v13.2.9

stcardinal 2026-02-14 21:03

Took delivery of mine last week and the service people told me it'll take a month

IzzysGhost 2026-02-14 21:53

When I got my Model Y in September it stayed on .100 for six weeks. Googling, many people say the .X00 releases are factory FW. My sister-in-law had .200 for at least a month. I don't remember this on the 2025 we purchased in January. Sounds like this is how Tesla is configuring new cars now.

IzzysGhost 2026-02-14 21:56

See [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaLounge/comments/1gxevi8/you_can_set_your_home_location_with_a_pin/). Doing this, my Model Y navigates into my back driveway, which the Teslas map thinks is the neighbor's address.

kossiewossie 2026-02-14 22:25

New car took me 3 weeks to receive my first update

toddfsu 2026-02-14 23:19

Ignore the “use the search” trolls. I’ve owned multiple Teslas and just took delivery of a 2026 refreshed AWD. Totally normal for new cars to sit on older software for a couple weeks. Sometimes longer. I know that… and I’m still refreshing the update screen every day and scrolling Reddit to see if anyone else got it first. Glad you posted. It’s nice knowing I’m not the only one staring at that “Your software is up to date” screen.

tonyismailctg 2026-02-14 23:19

ty for the hopeful comment!

kossiewossie 2026-02-14 23:21

New cars always take few weeks, just keep the car on WiFi and check daily for updates and you might get lucky.

tonyismailctg 2026-02-15 02:17

Thank you brother I really appreciate you. This comment helped me a lot!

jkudlacz 2026-02-15 03:56

Your car is “always” connected. When it’s your turn to get new software you will get notified and then - connect to WiFi to download. Had an update pop up show up many times while driving - just FYI.

snowfocus 2026-02-15 03:59

I’m in the same situation of OP. Less than 10 days of ownership… but FSD update just started a few minutes ago. Strangely enough today was the first time I recorded an FSD bug report.. maybe it’s related.

pshifrin 2026-02-15 04:08

And just like that... 2025.45.10 / FSD 14.2.2.5 downloading now! Exactly 2 weeks from pickup.

toddfsu 2026-02-15 04:15

Just got an update tonight! 2025.45.10 FSD 14.2.2.5

tonyismailctg 2026-02-15 04:17

Yessir! I just did too and dm’d you as well!

kuhnboy 2026-02-15 04:28

Mine just hit a half hour ago. It was 2 weeks for me.

Background-Math3950 2026-02-15 05:09

Literally just got mine updating to 2025.45.10 Delivery 2/5

mursedude 2026-02-15 05:47

Just updates today to 14.425

Fishmonger67 2026-02-15 06:43

New 2026 MYLR got updated 3 days after purchase. Not on WiFi

Cobracones2 2026-02-15 07:04

I bought mine on 2/2 and just got the update from v13.2.9 to v14.2.2.5 tonight! MYPremium.

Pnhan89 2026-02-15 07:59

Took delivery last week. Updating the car as I’m making this comment. You should get yours very soon.

JuberSun 2026-02-15 16:41

Picked up 2026 MYP on 2/10. Got the update 2/15 to 2025.45.10. FSD v14.2.2.5. My previous MPY took about 2 weeks in 2024.

Successful_Level548 2026-02-15 23:00

I updated my Tesla Model Y performance 2026 yesterday to 2025.45.10 and it’s been giving me headaches, the AC won’t turn off it is annoying, it will default to “Auto” and rarely will let you turn it off and when you do it turns back on after 2 minutes

shanewazhere 2026-02-18 18:49

Picked up my 2026 Model Y Premium AWD on 2/16, factory software. I spoke with a customer support rep and they told me that I should receive the 2026 developmental software 5-7 days from pickup, with it plugged in, strong WiFi, advanced on, etc. helping it. Then several more updates will come like games/features, then maps then the newest FSD version most likely at ~14 days out. I’ll update this thread with progress and timeline of actual updates. I’ve restarted the car several times too.

Boring_Tale 2026-02-19 15:26

Mine is in 2025.44.400 and in v13.2.9. Hoping to get 14 soon.

MyRedditFitness 2026-02-22 23:05

Also picked up a 26 MYP on 2/10. Still waiting on the update.

JuberSun 2026-02-24 00:10

Thought they had rolled that out to all around the 14th. Anyway hope you’ll get the update soon.

shanewazhere 2026-02-25 04:37

Day 8 - No software updates

Electronic_Ad4979 2026-02-27 08:05

Same boat for my woman. She hates the FSD sw she has currently. (13.2.9)

shanewazhere 2026-03-02 15:47

Day 14 - No update yet, at the service center today and they said they can’t force the update to the car because they are still waiting for the “transfer” to finish from the sale of the new car..? I don’t get it. I didn’t come in just for the update, it was for other things (defect in the headliner).

Worldly-Volume9402 2026-03-06 23:22

Same here, got the car on 03/01 with the factory software, as of today no update yet, and you can feel the difference. My wife has the latest software, and I feel more hesitation with the older one. Regardless, it's still awesome, just some quirks here and there, and it's really noticeable how the attention stuff was more annoying before.

Top_Box2332 2026-03-09 02:23

Exactly 3 weeks for me today and still nothing. So annoyed especially since my free trial is about to expire. Have it on advanced and everything too….

shanewazhere 2026-03-10 06:28

Day 23 - Software 2026.2.9.1/FSD 14.2.2.5 currently being installed at midnight. Woot.

javedk1 2026-03-10 08:35

Picked up my my rwd on 2/13 still no update :(

shanewazhere 2026-03-10 14:16

If you live near a service center, it wouldn’t hurt to take it in and see if they can do something.

MyRedditFitness 2026-03-13 12:41

As an update, I finally woke up to my first update this morning. 2026.2.9.1
