Anyone switch from Crossflow to Aperture wheels?

CAVU1331 | 2026-02-14 15:45 | 13 views

Unfortunately, one of my drives is coming up a few percentage short of making a round trip. Has anyone switched from the Crossflows to Aperture wheels and seen a change? I'd also like the benefit of getting a slightly bit more sidewall as well for comfort.

You can get aftermarket 18" which fit the Y. They are also much lighter than the stock rims. I wouldn't pay any amount of money for the Aperture Steelies

Not possible to stop and do a 5-10 minute charge?

I was looking for used wheels and tires from someone that updated them. I was also looking at T Sportline wheels, but I wish they weren't directional.

I would recommend EVAnnex wheels they offer the same styles as Tsportline at a fraction of the cost.

Well during the winter and limited preconditioning time it has it's more of a 30 minute stop.

I don't see any aero type wheels offered though. Only BBS wheels in the 18"

I bought a set of aperture wheels of fb marketplace for cheap. I’m not sure if I’m going to use them or not. The covers really are fugly. I may switch to then if I can find a better wheel cover for them. I like the idea of the 18s for ride quality and potential range gains.

18” model 3 wheels are another option, with 235/55R18

I don’t think those offer the correct load rating for the MY

2021 and later are rated 750kg. The older ones are 700kg.

Which model and year do you have? I read that the aperture wheels are only for 2025+ MYs. I’m wondering if they change something from the 2024 MY to allow for those particular 18" wheels.

I have a ‘26 juniper.

245/60 if you're going for sidewall
