PSA for anyone like me that did the promo offer for sirius at 5 bucks a month for a year... I was fully just expecting to cancel after the year was up because I wasn't paying 25 bucks a month. I noticed after my sub cancelled that I was able to sign back up for the same exact promo of 5 bucks a month for a year.

Always look for ways to discount Sirius. It's a good, not great, streaming service and the rack rate is ridiculous. Nice that you had an easy renewal without humans. $5/mo is reasonable. I have it on a long term plan cheap too.

For 20 years I’ve always called them when it’s time for renewal and tell them I can’t afford the high monthly rate. And every time they give me a sweet deal to stick around.

Same. You used to have to talk to a human, but now you can just talk with an AI chat bot and keep telling it to go lower and lower until it finally hits $5.

I stopped the yearly haggling game when I got tired of their pathetically short music rotation. There are tens of thousands of songs per genre and they keep playing the same 20-30 songs over and over. It gets ridiculously monotonous on road trips. Plus it loses signal when going through mountain passes or heavy tree cover. I’d rather play from my own collection of over 7400 tracks.
