Windshield Protection Plan repair — is this considered normal?

I recently used Tesla’s Windshield Protection Plan for a small chip repair. The service center completed the repair, but the area still visibly distorts straight lines when viewed from the driver’s seat and the size of the impacted area is just about as big as before I brought it in. You can see in the photo how the vertical garage rail appears locally bent when viewed through the repaired spot. I understand chip repairs aren’t supposed to be invisible, but I didn’t expect this level of optical distortion afterward. Am I being unreasonable to expect better clarity from a windshield repair under this plan? For those who’ve used Tesla’s windshield protection service, is this typical, or would you push for a redo/replacement? https://preview.redd.it/2mul3avhrsig1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07b91b29d76a89555793799da0ab45a771866f07

You’re sure to get another crack soon so just wait

It will break soon and they will have to replace it. I would just wait it out and be careful.

I'd say this is normal. I got a chip and they filled it in. Honestly, I have done a better job doing it myself in previous cars using the rainx filler for $15. I'd recommend you let it be and wait it out for the next chip or crack.

On my last car I had a small chip/crack and it was repaired professionally. You could still see the chip but it was filled and sealed which prevented it from getting any worse. Also, I don't know if this made a difference but I had tint on the windshield so that might have helped. But yeah, windshield chip repairs are rarely invisible and sometimes they look like it wasn't even repaired, but it will stop it from getting worse.
