The trim around the rear passenger doors developed this weird discoloration. But not the front. What is this? I’m in the Houston Metro area.
It’s from soap from car washes and such. Get some WD-40 spray it on a rag or paper towel, wipe it on and clean and forget
Stainless steel cleaning wipes worked best for me. Had to add a bit of elbow grease.

I live in Houston, too... and I'm told some cars were affected by the type of salt the city used on the freeways to melt the ice from the recent freeze.
