Premium connectivity issue

Fluffy-Condition-481 | 2026-02-10 19:24 | 12 views

Yesterday my car has decided that it no longer has premium connectivity despite me subscribing for the full year. Tried rebooting several times. Software tab shows Standard Connectivity only, but Upgrades tab says „No subscriptions available to purchase from your car at this time”. The car is still under warranty and I can bring it in for service if necessary, but I’m concerned they will force a FSD update to v14, which I don’t want at this time. I’d appreciate any thoughts on how to remedy this. For now I’m using a phone hotspot to give her connectivity on the road, but it’s not a great long term solution. EDIT: Turns out waiting 24h and another hard reboot did the trick and we’re back in business.

Stop lagging behind software releases. You get what you ask for.

Having your cake and eating it too, good luck with that.

That’s probably why you don’t have premium connectivity, old software versions probably have broken support for it.

How do you prevent the car from auto updating the software?

How are you rebooting? The steering wheel buttons might not be enough. I had this issue and ChatGPT told me to power it off from settings, don’t touch anything for a few minutes (screen window buttons nothing) and then hit the brake. That being said you shouldn’t go into service for software issues if you don’t want them to update to available software that has a year worth of bug fixes.

I just dismiss the software update pop-up window. It doesn’t auto update.

Do you think the support for premium connectivity broke overnight? Seems unlikely.

Might have something to do with the 404 error issue everyone got a few days ago, it’s possible something broke server side and now your car’s software isn’t recognizing that your VIN is subscribed to PC

I don’t want my Max Speed FSD setting taken away, so my separate paid subscription stops working? Perfect logic.

Fluffy-Condition-481 2026-02-11 04:21

Oh that’s possible! Weirdly, it doesn’t give me the option to purchase a subscription. I’ll give it a few days, try another reboot and take it from there.

Yeah I did both. Going to try a hard reboot again tomorrow.

The cake is delicious this morning as premium connectivity works again. Thanks for your help!

Seems like you were right about a potential server issue. I rebooted this morning and premium connectivity is working again.

harissabovic20 2026-02-11 16:57

Glad it started working again!

Damn I don't know how you can defend Tesla on this. Premium connectivity is completely separate from FSD software version
