Issue w/ Juniper MYP steering wheel buttons

TripNo1216 | 2026-02-09 03:02 | 14 views

I’ve had my Juniper MYP for a few weeks now and have noticed that the right side steering wheel buttons, voice control and cameras view, require a really firm press in order to work. A normal press of either button to where it clicks doesn’t activate the command like it does on the left side steering wheel buttons. Has anyone else had this issue? Can mobile service fix it?

I open a service request if it’s that noticeable..

And be prepared to share timestamps of occurrences, and replicate upon arrival 🙏

I had the same issue with my High Beam Headlight Button on my MYP, opened a service request and they replaced the steering wheel with Mobile Service.

FYI guys.. it's happening to my 2026 Model 3 too.. i'm not sure if it's worth bringing it in for service.

Mobile service replaced my steering wheel and the buttons work well now.

Does triggering the ‘click’ activate the camera view and high beam? Or does it have to be a little further than the click? Like a little deeper than the click

My right side buttons were the problem. When I would press the FSD button, the camera button, or the light button, I heard and felt the click but nothing else happened. I had to press harder than the click foe the buttons to work. The left side buttons worked fine, meaning press to click activated the function.

For mine to work, i have to press a little harder than just a click but not that hard. Do you think I should replace it? Like i asked chatgpt and it looks like it has to be a little harder than just a click as its an intended design. For yours tho, if you really lightly press the button “just enough” to trigger the click, does it activate the camera/high beam?

No, I had to press firmer than required for the click. My biggest issue was how hard I had to push the FSD button to activate FSD. It was to the point where I would press it and think that FSD started, but it actually hadn’t because I hadn’t pressed hard enough, even though I pressed to the point of hearing the click.

How about now though after the replacement? Lightly pressing just enough to trigger the click activates the camera and high beam?

TripNo1216 2026-03-01 19:45

It activates now every time I press it, but I haven’t tested light presses to see where it stops activating.

If you have a chance, could you try and see if light presses (just enough to trigger the “click”) activate the buttons like camera and highbeam please 😞 because I already got my steering wheel replaced last week..

Update?

Unfortunately, I won’t be by my car for a few days
