Most people do not run automobile fire drills and rely on their muscle memory of exiting a vehicle. Smoke, fire and panic can be a deadly combination.

It's really not easy to break out through the roof.

Most people also don't RTFM.

I don't know how anyone wouldn't take the time to get to know their own car.

Nor a double paned tinted side window. Will the roombataxi give an pre-ride safety video of emergency egress? lol

Do you read the manual of every car make before you get into a Uber? Or a friend is driving you to an event, will you read the car manual beforehand?

The backseat manual release is also idiotically designed and placed. There’s a rubber cover over it and it’s below where you store stuff.
The equivalent would be to put the manual release for the front passenger in the glovebox behind a false wall.

Back doors yes are really idiotic but the front doors are some of the easiest to open. Also I have a window break device in all of my cars that make it easy to break any form of glass. Everyone should have one and it’s super easy to obtain such a device.

As others have pointed out, it won't work on *any* of the glass on a modern Tesla because it's laminated.
(ok, maybe some of the glass on the Standard/base models may be an exception)

They make laminated dual panes glass breakers now.

Ehm, it does work exactly the same as with unlaminated single pane windows?
Only difference is that the laminated window won't explode into millions of pieces rather than just turn into malleable sheet of crackling film that's very easy to move aside...

And? A dumbass thief incapable of breaking the glass properly proofs what exactly...?
Couple of snaps on the middle area with a breaker so that the glass is cracked all around and the glass turns into a blanket.
