Oh Yeha, preheat to 68-70 and go cruising
This is AFTER cruising :) When reached a charging station in the mountains.
You reached like this 😮
Yep, what you see is ice, not snow. The wipers were completely frozen on the end, but moving.
Damn! But in it's own way, it looks beautiful
Oh Yeha take that bad out with a few minutes f preheat such a beauty
Wow, that reminds me... Haven't had any luck finding any brushless with undercarriage cleaning shops in my neck of the woods
Nice
No wiper thawing function?
Didn't help much, believe me :) At the end of the trip the middle part of the wipers stopped to clean. It was frozen.
Did you use winter tires?
Nice wrap.
I'm moving to the mountains. This car looks much better frozen
Would have been the same for any car you think?
Let it go
Yes, WinterContact ts 860
Been there done that.
what mountian was this in? This is nuts
Maybe not since ICE cars produce more heat especially the engine
Bulgarian Rodopa mountains. We had a harsh snowfall here. Followed by a major flood on the same place.
Less or no snow on the hood since engine gets hot
If you don’t have a garage, why not use a car cover?
🤯
The picture is after cruising. Just parked on the charger.
Damn that’s crazy - prob should have said that in the description
Yes, forgot to add it and now can't edit it anymore
A Model Y-sicle!
I concur
Well looks like the defrost button will be your best friend here don’t forget to charge the port heater
Charge the port heater?
Yeah, could be.
Let it go
Not generating a ton of engine heat to melt al the ice.
Wow Where is this from?
Oh hey fellow dad
Y-ce mode On
Go into settings click service and click charge port heater it will defrost the charge door and warm it for faster charging. Best of luck
I have yet to see snow. I’m wondering, at home if it snows and I’m not yet plugged-in and come out to a snow/ice covered car…. Does “Defrost” in the app automatically do it? (Warm a potentially frozen charge port cover). Thanks for the reply, BTW. No one replied for 4 days until you came along! My Y has yet to see snow so I’m curious about any weird niggles I might discover and how best to contend. I started up skiing again so the car will see some snow (if it ever friggin’ comes - this year’s been a bust).
