Oh Yeha, preheat to 68-70 and go cruising

aniobash 2026-02-07 10:05

This is AFTER cruising :) When reached a charging station in the mountains.

Slayerz00m 2026-02-07 10:11

You reached like this 😮

aniobash 2026-02-07 10:13

Yep, what you see is ice, not snow. The wipers were completely frozen on the end, but moving.

Slayerz00m 2026-02-07 10:17

Damn! But in it's own way, it looks beautiful

Confident-Alfalfa-24 2026-02-07 10:23

Oh Yeha take that bad out with a few minutes f preheat such a beauty

S4vingRyan-sPr1v8 2026-02-07 10:39

Wow, that reminds me... Haven't had any luck finding any brushless with undercarriage cleaning shops in my neck of the woods

K3jai 2026-02-07 10:55

Nice

Hawkhill_no 2026-02-07 11:24

No wiper thawing function?

aniobash 2026-02-07 11:26

Didn't help much, believe me :) At the end of the trip the middle part of the wipers stopped to clean. It was frozen.

OutrageousForce5865 2026-02-07 12:34

Did you use winter tires?

OrderNo2483 2026-02-07 13:18

Nice wrap.

FragrantSoftware1937 2026-02-07 13:30

I'm moving to the mountains. This car looks much better frozen

Hawkhill_no 2026-02-07 13:53

Would have been the same for any car you think?

ZephRyder 2026-02-07 13:59

Let it go

aniobash 2026-02-07 14:00

Yes, WinterContact ts 860

avebelle 2026-02-07 14:08

Been there done that.

64cinco 2026-02-07 14:18

what mountian was this in? This is nuts

randompersonwhowho 2026-02-07 14:21

Maybe not since ICE cars produce more heat especially the engine

aniobash 2026-02-07 14:25

Bulgarian Rodopa mountains. We had a harsh snowfall here. Followed by a major flood on the same place.

yhsong1116 2026-02-07 14:38

Less or no snow on the hood since engine gets hot

Hockeyshot39 2026-02-07 14:47

If you don’t have a garage, why not use a car cover?

Away-Scar7754 2026-02-07 15:07

🤯

aniobash 2026-02-07 15:13

The picture is after cruising. Just parked on the charger.

Hockeyshot39 2026-02-07 15:25

Damn that’s crazy - prob should have said that in the description

aniobash 2026-02-07 15:29

Yes, forgot to add it and now can't edit it anymore

EmergencyMonitor6117 2026-02-07 15:29

A Model Y-sicle!

idkausernamerntbh 2026-02-07 17:54

I concur

Great_Swimmer_3477 2026-02-07 19:01

Well looks like the defrost button will be your best friend here don’t forget to charge the port heater

Wants-NotNeeds 2026-02-07 21:26

Charge the port heater?

Hawkhill_no 2026-02-07 22:06

Yeah, could be.

_Jonur_ 2026-02-07 22:30

Let it go

David_Buzzard 2026-02-08 00:06

Not generating a ton of engine heat to melt al the ice.

RedElmo65 2026-02-08 15:51

Wow Where is this from?

addtokart 2026-02-08 23:54

Oh hey fellow dad

tienphmj 2026-02-11 03:05

Y-ce mode On

Great_Swimmer_3477 2026-02-12 04:30

Go into settings click service and click charge port heater it will defrost the charge door and warm it for faster charging. Best of luck

Wants-NotNeeds 2026-02-12 04:42

I have yet to see snow. I’m wondering, at home if it snows and I’m not yet plugged-in and come out to a snow/ice covered car…. Does “Defrost” in the app automatically do it? (Warm a potentially frozen charge port cover). Thanks for the reply, BTW. No one replied for 4 days until you came along! My Y has yet to see snow so I’m curious about any weird niggles I might discover and how best to contend. I started up skiing again so the car will see some snow (if it ever friggin’ comes - this year’s been a bust).
