Uncertain of the CN market, but FWIW, the NA RWD Model Y don’t have fog lights.
I want to know as well. When I briefly looked into it the RWD standard range doesn't have the hardware or software to use the fog lights so they'll have to be wired to the side repeaters (at least that's what I've read with some of the after market fog lights)
So you're willing to give up on your warranty for headlights and anything related to electric circuits in the front, just to have some cheap chinese A** fog lights. Maybe you should reconsider
Mate, are you living under a rock or something telling me if the product is inferior is made somewhere foreign than where you're from? This car came straight out of Giga Shanghai and hadn't had panel gaps or fitment issues. And this car being the LFP RWD variant didn't come included with fog lights and nowhere there's an option to configure than the dual motor AWDLR variant and up. If it does void the warranty, where is it stated? I just wanna know the possibility of it able to be installed. By the time my warrnaty dies, I might do it 😊
Bro, Chinese shit on Temu is not made at the same quality standard as Tesla Shanghai. The country is not the problem, the manufacturers and race for lowest price on temu is.
interesting I just looked at this. OP what you can do here is wire up DRLs in the spot that will get power from the headlights. Some also have indicators that can be picked up from the side repeaters. They aren't fog lights but they do look cool at least
RWD Model Y never came with fog lights. They can be retrofitted tho for IIRC 500 bucks.
Oh, they're basically just positional lights? I didn't know that, interesting... I just thought maybe it might be possible since the blacked out plastic piece felt kinda ugly when you stare at it for long 😅
yeah, which is why I'm asking if it's possible for fitting some aftermarket lights in that area while being plug and play to avoid warranty.
does the retrofitting include cabling when purchased or does the car actually had cables left to plug it in?
