Sure. You do that Elmo.

sneaky-pizza 2025-10-23 06:18

lol

AgentSmith187 2025-10-23 06:21

They find more empty carparks to fill?

user224566 2025-10-23 06:28

Elon plans to stack cyber trucks to mars!

goranlepuz 2025-10-23 06:29

>I was reticent to do that until we had clarity on achieving unsupervised full self-driving, but at this point, I feel like we’ve got clarity Ah, yes, similar to how we were reticent until we had clarity on his Goebbels-wannabe tendencies. Yes, please increase production 😉

Buddycat350 2025-10-23 06:34

> The CEO stated that he is “100% confident” that Tesla will solve unsupervised self-driving – a claim he has made every year for the last six years. TSLA is gonna go up despite that obvious bullshit, won't it?

Talloakster 2025-10-23 06:41

It doesn't really matter if FSD works or not. The stock price goes up either way, apparently....

PermanentlyDubious 2025-10-23 06:52

In fairness, robotaxis are increasing in some cities. Seeing more and more in Austin in an ever increasing range. Just saw my first red one tonight and it was 10 miles south of downtown in a dumpy area that no one cool is in. Had the same 1980s graffiti font, tho. In fact, unlike Waymos, they are hard to see because there is nothing on the roof. So there's probably way more than I'm recognizing. I think the problem is that Waymo is very much first in time and seems more reliable at this point. Why pick a robo taxi if you can select a Waymo? They either have to appeal to right wing Tesla stans, not super common in urban areas, or they have to beat Waymo via contracts. If Waymo is with Uber, then robo taxi needs to sign up with Lyft. Really annoyed Waymo is with Uber. Uber sucks.

Musicman1972 2025-10-23 06:58

Obviously FSD is not coming in a year but this is what you can do when people just literally throw money at you. Why not increase production when you have no demand for it... Just call it latent and write it off as investors say "that was genius .. have some more of my money to burn"

stocktradingloser 2025-10-23 07:00

“Optimus would be a great surgeon” This guy just doesn’t know anything about surgery… how it is a team effort. And the roles carefuly orchestrated. How complex patient positionning is. And how things are just unforgiving… That piece of garbage will never be able to even do a chronic subdural hematoma…

4cardroyal 2025-10-23 07:10

How did the "anticipated demand" for Cybertrucks work out, Elmo? huh? LOL.

Desperate-Hearing-55 2025-10-23 07:31

He can always sell unsold to his others private companies SpaceX and xAI. Not that he haven't already done it with Cybertruck.

[deleted] 2025-10-23 07:35

Must be tiresome to constantly inflate numbers so shareholders don't quit.

whis90 2025-10-23 07:47

It’s actuallly 9-10 years

ExcitingMeet2443 2025-10-23 08:00

>That piece of garbage will never be able to even do a chronic subdural hematoma… Oh come on, I'm sure it's going to be able to give someone a hematoma, probably by falling over on top of them.

Engunnear 2025-10-23 08:04

But that’s not chronic.

Buddycat350 2025-10-23 08:07

The damn thing probably won't be able to cut a slice a of bread right before the end of the decade, so surgery isn't quite on the table yet.

solarpanzer 2025-10-23 08:12

Please increase Cybertruck production.

[deleted] 2025-10-23 08:47

To be super clear. We are not going to pay $8k for a software upgrade.

Chris_0288 2025-10-23 08:48

Insufferable

BionicBananas 2025-10-23 08:52

"We should be able to do 90 percent of miles driven \[autonomously\] within three years." Musk said in september 2013. [source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_predictions_for_autonomous_Tesla_vehicles_by_Elon_Musk)

DerisiveGibe 2025-10-23 09:11

Yeah at SpaceX

I-Pacer 2025-10-23 09:16

So now everyone who buys a Tesla will get one that has been sat growing mould in a car park at the back of a shopping mall for 12 months.

fastwriter- 2025-10-23 09:17

By the way: Surgical Robots already exist. But they are specialised Machines helping Human Surgeons performing the operation. They are more precise and steady thab humand hands, but only can be operated in very narrow Applications. The thought that a Humanoid Robot could be a Surgeon is quite frankly absurd. Musk should stop watching Sci-Fi-Movies.

Objective_Mousse7216 2025-10-23 09:21

This guy is hilarious.

Business-Shoulder-42 2025-10-23 09:22

Paid for by US tax dollars. A bailout program by Trump Corp. Sponsored by Epstein Island and Past Friends We Never Knew.

stocktradingloser 2025-10-23 09:38

Even current surgical robots have questionable results when compared to non robotic techniques. In Spine Surgery, they basically are million dollar drill guides. In Uro, ObGyn and GenSurg they are basically just instruments of the surgeon and nothing that could be independent… Some Surgeries might be replaced someday by very fancy chemotherapeutics or Gene therapy. But robots will not be good enough to replace the surgeon in the next 100 years. I’m a spine surgeon / neurosurgeon. And surgery requires above all critical thinking and both gross and fine dexterity. It can not be reliably automated… at least not this century. Pharma and radiology perhaps will drive surgery out of business… but not robots. This guy goes even to recommend some cervical disk surgeries rather than others when he knows nothing about it. He is just delirious. How so many people cling on his word is beyond me.

fastwriter- 2025-10-23 09:58

Thank you for the clarification that current surgical Robots are only fancier Instruments in the Hand of the Doctor. I forgot to mention this.

Status_Ad_4405 2025-10-23 10:00

No problem, he'll just dress up a surgeon in a robot suit

Throwaway0242000 2025-10-23 10:09

Meme stock leadership.

Schoeddl 2025-10-23 10:44

You hear something like that more and more often. I think the surgeons are just afraid that Optimus will take their job. Just like millions of taxi drivers are angry with Elon because robotaxis are taking their jobs. One should just accept that robots are ultimately better surgeons because they simply don't get tired, stress, get upset, and don't take drugs. You only hate Elon because he makes you redundant...

Key-Beginning-2201 2025-10-23 10:52

Just like he said several quarters ago that sales would increase by 20% from last year.

Coolidge30 2025-10-23 11:10

Not with that attitude it won't. I have faith in their ability to make a robot that chronically falls on you

ascaria 2025-10-23 11:13

Enigmas never age, you know.

Engunnear 2025-10-23 11:24

*Touché.*

stocktradingloser 2025-10-23 11:27

If you see what we do everyday, you would realize that automation cannot perform well in situations With so many variables. I’m Scared of radiologists stealing my job. But robots won’t be an issue in the next 50 years. The mythomaniac guy admitted that the hand issue is “very difficult” to solve. Try impossible. If they even manage to do something half as good, the maintenance cost alone would be prohibitive. I dislike Elon cause he is the epitome of hypocrisy and arrogance. The most dangerous people in the world are those who believe their point of view is the right one. Robots will replace plummers, electricians, factory workers, way before surgeons… and I believe plummers and electricians are among the most difficult jobs/tasks to replace and manual/artisan jobs are still an industry that will thrive in the next half century.

beren12 2025-10-23 11:30

Sure, they don’t do those things. They also don’t do any of the things that a surgeon does.

beren12 2025-10-23 11:32

What cities? No other city has given them a permit.

PermanentlyDubious 2025-10-23 11:42

Sorry, I thought there were a few cities. I just checked and it looks like it's mostly Austin but with SF area recently added. Austin traffic and drivers are poor, so if it's handling this, it seems as good a test market as any.

beren12 2025-10-23 11:46

Yeah but sf is a normal taxi service with human drivers no fsd allowed.

Difficult_Limit2718 2025-10-23 12:23

Everyone thinks Elon is smart, until he talks about something they actually know anything about...

funwithdesign 2025-10-23 12:53

“The CEO stated that he is “100% confident” that Tesla will solve unsupervised self-driving – a claim he has made every year for the last six years.”

[deleted] 2025-10-23 13:31

I do not give one flying fuck about self driving as an EV driver.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-23 13:35

"based on anticipated demand for" something that does not exist.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-23 13:36

Every time he says "next year", the stock goes up 10%.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-23 13:37

Dr. Neoprene.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-23 13:39

He should just make an endless loop recording of himself saying "next year" and send it out to the media.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-23 13:40

That won't work right either.

Fun_Volume2150 2025-10-23 13:42

Down 4% right now.

__slamallama__ 2025-10-23 13:49

>Just like millions of taxi drivers are angry with Elon because robotaxis are taking their jobs. He's taken a solid 1-2 dozen taxi driver jobs so far. And he replaced those jobs with "safety drivers" so he hasn't actually eliminated any human jobs yet. I think the surgeons are safe.

sugardaddyxyz 2025-10-23 14:23

Pumperboi

razor_train 2025-10-23 14:38

All those new CTs SpaceX bought can be arranged around the launch pads and be used as "debris absorbers"

carlivar 2025-10-23 14:46

The word Cybertruck was not even uttered on the earnings call.

Syscrush 2025-10-23 14:58

Anticipated by whom?

Fuzzy_Inevitable9748 2025-10-23 15:04

Ya he just moves from grift to grift, remember when everything was the Tesla Semi, they sure shut up about that fast when it couldn’t do anything other than move potato chips.

Schoeddl 2025-10-23 15:09

It was a joke, sorry...

LightMission4937 2025-10-23 15:10

lol there will just be a landfill full of brand new junk teslas. Elon is a degenerate, it's just to hopefully pump his scam stock.

chrisjdel 2025-10-23 15:24

Now all they have to do is create actual demand by coming up with a better product than Waymo. When there is lot after lot of robotaxis just sitting there unsold, I'm going to lmao. Maybe the Martian Nazi should focus on getting the self-drive to ... you know, self-drive (as in not into objects or other vehicles). Gotta learn to walk before you can run.

pavlik_enemy 2025-10-23 15:26

So, we'll see a lot of unsold inventory? Ok

Belzebutt 2025-10-23 15:27

Remember when Tesla blasted the Nikola truck video because it was faked?

TiguanRedskins 2025-10-23 15:38

# Tesla is increasing EV production based on anticipated demand for filling empty mall parking lots.

Normal-Selection1537 2025-10-23 15:42

His pay package is up for vote November 6th so expect a lot of bullshit like this. They are teasing the Roadster again for another example.

sik_dik 2025-10-23 16:03

Oh? The same FSD that I paid for in full but leave disabled because it’s unpredictable, makes ridiculous judgments, and fluctuates speed at random, often below the speed limit? People want that?

Poococktail 2025-10-23 16:08

Who believes this? Anyone?

EnvironmentalClue218 2025-10-23 16:26

Parrot on his shoulder would do.

Kilgore_Trout_61 2025-10-23 16:27

Maybe his robots will drive the cars?

zedk47 2025-10-23 16:29

Humanoid robot for surgery seems like the stupidest solution to a complex problem

y4udothistome 2025-10-23 16:29

Of course not. J.P. Morgan 150. I think that’s to high.

NinjaN-SWE 2025-10-23 16:35

Questionable results? All I've read is that the robots help deliver consistent and better results over time than without them. Of course they don't make a bad doctor good but helps keep a good doctor consistent. Could you link the article? Or is it experience?

soldieroscar 2025-10-23 16:35

The self driving that has been on its way for 10 years now? Bet you all these will need hardware upgrades in 5 months

cseckshun 2025-10-23 16:41

The anticipated demand was great! Unfortunately the actual demand and actual sales lagged behind the anticipated demand, but that was just because of how AWESOME the anticipated demand was! It’s not Elon’s fault if consumers weren’t able to live up to the epic hype he built into the anticipated demand. I’m sure that Robotaxi and Optimus will be completely different products that will change the world upon release and definitely not fall flat again like the Tesla Semi and the Solar Roof and the Cybertruck. Edit: changed Asimov to Optimus because I keep forgetting Musk is copying transformers and not Isaac Asimov and his robot Sci-fi for the branding on his robots.

Knoexius 2025-10-23 16:57

Elon Musk is high on his own supply. This is a fast track to the company going into the ground. Bankruptcy by 2028?

[deleted] 2025-10-23 17:21

No wonder Elon loves Trump. The two of them share a complete unattachment to reality and self perception.

Smaxter84 2025-10-23 17:23

Wow the Tesla shill posts are even crazier than the crypto bros lol

Randomized9442 2025-10-23 18:16

THAT MOTHERFUCKER IS GOING TO RUIN THE NAME ASIMOV??????

nolongerbanned99 2025-10-23 18:18

Fools errand

Disgod 2025-10-23 18:21

Gotta keep pumping because once he stops it's crashing.

cseckshun 2025-10-23 18:45

Jeebus I’m a dummy, I’ve made this mistake a few times I don’t know why! I keep thinking he is calling his robots Asimov but they are actually called “Optimus”. My mistake! I have corrected in my initial comment and added this comment so you don’t look crazy if anyone else comes along and wonders what you are talking about lol

Randomized9442 2025-10-23 18:48

Oh, phew, thanks for the relief haha!

Centralredditfan 2025-10-23 18:59

Lol. Fire sale soon?

rannend 2025-10-23 20:27

They knew it was impossible based on experience

stocktradingloser 2025-10-23 20:52

The most widely used robot is the Da Vinci for abdominal surgeries. Some studies have shown higher rates of severe complications than with regular non robotic surgeries (but the techniques are different). As for spine surgical robots… debatable… They are good for big deformity surgeries, but basically they just hold your drill. They are tools. And we are decades if not a full century away of what Musk is implying…

NinjaN-SWE 2025-10-23 21:13

Of course, never held any illusion that surgery robots were autonomous (scary thought really). But a tool is not something bad, we need tools and better tools mean we can do better and or easier work.  Like the chainsaw helped a lot, and then the logging machines helped even more, even if they aren't autonomous at all. But now that tool means one man can do the work of 10 men with a chainsaw, which can do the work of three men with an axe. All while reducing the injuries in the industry significantly.

tobbiefox 2025-10-24 00:07

What demand? I’d not trust anything manufactured by Tesla at this point.

fremontseahawk 2025-10-24 00:15

How many did they buy?

decadentbear 2025-10-24 01:07

Tesla cures Cancer by self driving mechanism. Tesla makes IVF outdated by implanting embryos via the massaging drivers seat. Tesla resurrects Nero

PetalumaPegleg 2025-10-24 01:25

Sales collapsing everywhere, raise production due to a technology which doesn't work. Pay this man a trillion dollars for this insight

automatic__jack 2025-10-24 02:50

Still waiting for robotaxi to cover 50% of all Americans by end of year (literally said 3 months the ago at the last earnings call)

Dave_The_Slushy 2025-10-24 04:10

Tbf, none of the stuff he says has the impact it should on the stock price, so he really can say what he wants. Capitalism really is bullshit.

d57heinz 2025-10-24 12:47

Anticipation of demand from who? SpaceX?

Part_Tricky 2025-10-24 16:37

Sure. There is no demand for Tesla Self Driving that killed people. Elon, the moron, is living in a different world just by himself.

torokunai 2025-10-24 21:08

Elon is literally a con man

Withnail2019 2025-10-25 05:50

And this will just be another lie, production will not be increasing.

Thin-Engineer-9191 2025-10-25 09:13

Yeah no

stocktradingloser 2025-10-26 07:03

Agreed. But that’s not what he said right? That’s the problem with this guy… He lies for a profit. And since he has already accomplished some impressive feats, people just drink his koolade. He is a very dangerous man.

HikerDave57 2025-10-26 18:59

“people don’t understand how impactful self-driving will be.” I think that we have a pretty good idea of the kind of ‘impact’ a self-driving car could deliver.

trogdor1234 2025-10-26 19:09

He is losing the carbon credits so he has to sell more cars. So he’s going to ramp up so his other companies can buy more cars so Tesla doesn’t miss earnings.

Sufficient-Host-4212 2025-10-27 02:24

Well? Ok. Do it. Let’s see how it plays.

your_fathers_beard 2025-10-27 04:49

You mean that thing you've already been selling for a decade and everyone that wants it already bought it? Shouldn't you just deliver it already?

Icy-person666 2025-10-27 18:44

Sure given their pet project can't make it to orbit. Or they can dominate the Martian taxi space.

bakcha 2025-10-27 21:06

They could just be purposed back into dumpsters.

ProfessionalTwo5476 2025-10-28 23:11

SpaceX better start laying down more parking lots.

ColossusofNero 2025-10-29 19:44

We better start making cars now, because someday someone might want to buy a car from us for some reason.
