Tesla stock up 7% on this satire story

Fun-Crow6284 2025-10-17 00:51

Tesla stock is only go up!

th3bigfatj 2025-10-17 00:52

Fake. Tesla would release it with a huge screen anyway. That's how you know it's high tech. The cheap, oversized screen to replace everything else.

ARAR1 2025-10-17 01:01

It will be a wind up speed burner car

ThatOneGuy012345678 2025-10-17 01:03

Ooh, is this going to be like the Flintstones car where you use your feet to accelerate and brake?

SVTContour 2025-10-17 01:07

> Prices for the Model Y Sub-Standard will reportedly start from $38,990, making it $1,000 cheaper than the Model Y Standard. That was pretty funny.

Basement_Chicken 2025-10-17 01:17

Hey, it'll roll downhill faster than Nikola trucks!

Agreeable-Purpose-56 2025-10-17 01:22

Would like to see a joystick to replace steering wheel

rbirming3 2025-10-17 01:27

I’m trying to understand if all these Tesla haters actually own a Tesla and hate it or had owned one and hated it.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-17 01:30

Are tires extra?

tanbyte 2025-10-17 01:41

$2000 before year end

Frequent_Help2133 2025-10-17 01:49

So a Tesla without a battery is basically a pedal car?

Engunnear 2025-10-17 02:06

See, that’s because you’re an idiot.

mrbuttsavage 2025-10-17 02:09

The only reason it's not believable is Tesla makes money on the battery. Now the plastic seats, those can go.

Hybrid_Human 2025-10-17 02:13

It do!

punasuga 2025-10-17 02:16

one word - Optimus-powered!

punasuga 2025-10-17 02:17

it wouldn’t get as much traction.

punasuga 2025-10-17 02:18

Survey sez

punasuga 2025-10-17 02:18

where we’re going you don’t need tires!

ThatOneGuy012345678 2025-10-17 02:19

Oh I see. So you have the hole in the floor on the passenger side only so that Optimus uses its feet for you? Brilliant, that way the driver has a more luxury experience! Totally a great luxury car, Mercedes and BMW are shaking in their boots.

punasuga 2025-10-17 02:19

Batteries not included, sold separately or subscribe in the Tesler app!

SocialJusticeAndroid 2025-10-17 02:37

musk is such a dipshit this was momentarily believable.

JRLDH 2025-10-17 02:37

They should just release one without batteries but with a holder for 1000 Duracell D cells. “Batteries not included”

AerialAce96 2025-10-17 02:48

The turning stalk is, and no I’m not kidding

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-17 02:49

Feel free to launch it to Mars.

BringBackUsenet 2025-10-17 02:50

Would you like a steering wheel with that?

letsgobernie 2025-10-17 03:02

I almost believed it smh

docker_linux 2025-10-17 03:04

Just need to buy a bunch of AAs

punasuga 2025-10-17 03:06

welcome to the 21st century, where satire and reality are interchangeable

asillyman 2025-10-17 03:08

Renault actually did this with the Zoe EV in Europe. You had the choice of getting the car with a battery lease or paying full price to get the car with a battery included. It had two reasons. First it was at a time where there were some doubts about how long a battery would last, where the leasing option made it a Renault problem with replacement if the capacity got to low and secondly it made it possible to sell the car for €8,900 less in initial cost.

asillyman 2025-10-17 03:18

Sure this is satire, however a Tesla Model 3/Y Basic version where the screen is replaced with buttons for the most needed options and the battery is the smallest Tesla offers could be a good answer to Slate and other low features, low cost EVs coming in the next few years.

dtyamada 2025-10-17 03:43

Reinventing the horse and carriage but with robots. Brilliant!

TheInternetsLOL 2025-10-17 03:55

I heard they will even offer you the "opportunity" to come put the car together from start to finish. Best of all, under a makeshift tent, in the back of a Walmart parking lot.

Online_Ennui 2025-10-17 05:16

Yabba Dabba Don't

Opcn 2025-10-17 05:16

You can tell it's satire because every tesla model is substandard.

zedk47 2025-10-17 05:54

Will they have door handles?

Outrageous_Koala5381 2025-10-17 12:31

odd the bbc license fee is being used to create this - and not even on 1st April. I bet the bbc spent 1000s on that graphic and text.

Engunnear 2025-10-17 12:48

Ingress and egress are achieved via the window opening.

Emotional_Goal9525 2025-10-17 14:18

You use usb-c powerbank to power the car.

Pdx_pops 2025-10-17 14:25

The Optimus is also without batteries. But it comes with a free frogurt!

dtyamada 2025-10-17 15:00

Ah Tesla trying to break into Nascar. When they need to "refuel" they will just swap the battery like they've been doing for years!

iIdentifyasGrinch 2025-10-17 16:44

You just need a police-style grappler to hook onto the car in front of you (and pray they're going where you're going)

iIdentifyasGrinch 2025-10-17 16:46

Parts of automobiles can be lease-able? Don't give F'Elon any ideas

Pancheel 2025-10-17 18:37

I believe Tesla deciphered the market makers' algorithms.

PotatoFondler 2025-10-17 20:53

Sorry you’re getting an etch a sketch.

damngoodengineer 2025-10-19 09:29

Without what??

[deleted] 2025-10-19 14:50

Wow, never thought I would see a day where Tesla was starting to compete with Fisher Price /s

hoagiebreath 2025-10-20 05:07

E-Pinto

neliz 2025-10-20 18:49
