The numbers in China are still pretty high, given the tough local competition. Either the government preps up the numbers somehow, Elon being an advocate of the regime or there is a part of the desert with lots of Teslas being parked, stated as deliveries. The future will tell

A price cut on a newly released model is becoming de rigeur for Tesla these days. Not sure how any investors can still see this company as a growth story. Nobody should be having to make big price cuts on their newest products just after launch.

They have only aged models. Tesla needs to have Model Two (under $25,000 or even better $22,500) in 2026 or it will get worse.

Before he changed mind to all in on Optimus, Elon said there would be $25,000 Model Two. I just think Model Two is a better idea than Optimus. In China, there are hundreds of companies making better robots than Optimus. Do not think Tesla Optimus can be a success.

Why doesn’t Tesla just acquire those companies?

Elon Musk has signed contracts with a Taiwanese company making the same thing. There is really no special sauces on making robots. Similar condition to FSD software or robotaxi.
