But I was told buyers were waiting for the Model Y revamp :o

SunshineSeattle 2025-08-01 16:57

No see Optimus is going to come fold your laundry, on the way to mars. Next uhh week - maybe month.

ChollyWheels 2025-08-01 17:13

YES! No one else is even talking about the Mars-laundry problem, or Mr. Musk's robot solution. Another factor rarely discussed is how robots will impact scrambled eggs. I expect with the upcoming redesign of the hands robots will be able to scramble eggs at high speed (using the hand itself) thus eliminating another human effort, and reducing the need for forks that humans use for the same function. Think of the savings just from having fewer forks in the world!

Iamcheez 2025-08-01 17:31

No offense to the owners of the revamped Model Y but this car is ugly asf...

Jaguarmadillo 2025-08-01 17:55

Same shitty car, only now inbred with the wannabe redneck cybertruck

Far_Addition1210 2025-08-01 18:24

163 cars in Sweden, 1307 in France, 443 in the Netherlands and 336 cars in Denmark. France was the only country to breach the 1000 mark. Tesla will be lucky to sell 50k cars in Europe over the next 12 months. No sales in Canada either, its only Asia and the US buying Teslas and their sales are dropping.

Top_Junket2991 2025-08-01 18:37

Tesla has the Y at 65k now so people are buying. Cars coming from.germany. Norway and Spain are still buying.

Far_Addition1210 2025-08-01 18:58

Norway bought 800 and Spain bought 700. As I said Tesla will be lucky to sell 50k cars in Europe in the next 12 months. BYD are huge over here.

Chemical-Idea-1294 2025-08-01 19:07

BYD? Market share is below 5%. Skoda grew more in the last 12 months, both in total numbers and market share. Meanwhile we have way above 100 different EVs to chose from, with cheaper and smaller options entering the market nearly every month. Renault does a great job there. And Tesla has only 2 models with nothing new coming.

JRLDH 2025-08-01 20:44

And it's mostly Asians in the USA that buy Teslas. At least here in Dallas. Almost every new Y that drives by has an Asian looking driver.

AgentSmith187 2025-08-01 21:19

Is that before or after the fleet of robotaxis hits the roads and covers 50% of the population?

account_for_norm 2025-08-01 21:21

Asians and indians.  The prestige factor that was marketed and developed before 2020 still lingers. Remember the silicon valley and big bang theory marketing stunts? Guys, tesla aint that special. Lots of nice cars out there that dont support fascism

SunshineSeattle 2025-08-01 21:39

O I mean that's definitely happening first, it'll be by the end of the year for sure, ok maybe next year, but 109% by the year after.

Status_Ad_4405 2025-08-01 21:56

All the French sales were in Vichy

PeePeeWeeWee1 2025-08-01 22:42

Robot no wash hands! Robot dirty!

ChollyWheels 2025-08-01 22:44

You must buy the Full Self Washing package.

dtyamada 2025-08-01 23:49

I'd say after. Taxis covering 50% of us is this year, robo laundry is next year.

Stellardong 2025-08-02 00:07

So…. Uber drivers?

kombiwombi 2025-08-02 00:11

Europe-28 registrations for BEVs in May 2025. Volkswagen group (VW+Skoda+Audi): 51K. BMW group: 15k. Tesla: 13K. Renault: 9K. Geely group (inc Volvo): 8K. BYD: 7k.

Juniper! A totally new vehicle that doesn’t look at all like a decontented Hyundai Kona

turd_vinegar 2025-08-02 00:16

Software and electrical engineers.

pawpawpersimony 2025-08-02 00:20

Turns out people are not into Nazis🤷

Stellardong 2025-08-02 00:32

Oooooffffff

ClassicT4 2025-08-02 01:17

Be hilarious if Optimus is ever released and it follows the Cybertruck pay model. Promise a $30k unit. Make them all at least $100k.

Chippopotanuse 2025-08-02 01:50

At some point this type of news will cease to be bullish for the stock. My puts expire in 2027, and I hope it’s before then.

neliz 2025-08-02 03:50

The offense is buying a swasticar

neliz 2025-08-02 03:51

Hon hon hon

iftlatlw 2025-08-02 05:18

Just waitin for the crash.

Wolfgang_MacMurphy 2025-08-02 05:31

Mars 2027.

Wolfgang_MacMurphy 2025-08-02 05:33

They have to be at least $100K, if they don't want to lose money selling them.

lexievv 2025-08-02 07:02

No, not next month, obviously it's next sometime

lexievv 2025-08-02 07:21

Yeah it really is lol. It's boring and ugly at the same time.

nik_h_75 2025-08-02 11:39

covering... as in driving over us?

AgentSmith187 2025-08-02 11:40

Only when FSD screws up. So any day ending in Y

white1984 2025-08-02 12:25

Partly also IMHO is that there are more and more better EVs out there. Literally also every major brand has an EV of some description, and the quality is better then it was once was. In the UK we tend to buy cars on a PCP deal and you can one for as little as £200 a month for a cheap Chinese round around like Leapmotor T03 or a Dacia Spring, or for £300 a decent MG or Renault. Plus, the dealers are growing in their EV network, so the trouble to get one isn't there.

bighoney69 2025-08-02 12:52

“European automakers Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, Renault and BMW have published downbeat second-quarter results, warning of pressure from U.S. import tariffs and falling demand.”

praguer56 2025-08-02 14:38

I recently read that Musk donated another $15 million to Trump and the GOP in June. Tesla deserves to fail.

Withnail2019 2025-08-02 15:34

The general car buying public isn't even aware of these stupid 'revamps' I bet.

Withnail2019 2025-08-02 15:36

>YES! No one else is even talking about the Mars-laundry problem I had never thought about this but it's actually quite a big deal. Not to mention showering, cooking, cleaning and everything else. We humans need a lot of water.

ChollyWheels 2025-08-02 20:25

True - especially considering Mr. Musk's fantasy of recreating an industrial society on Mars. But water is the least of the reasons that Mr. Musk's Mars fantasies are ridiculous. The near total lack of an atmosphere, is a bigger one (and the fact without a magnetic field, not likely to retain an atmosphere even if one could be created). Little light, toxic soil, high levels of space radiation...

Exciting_Turn_9559 2025-08-03 00:32

Dead brand is dead. Even if they oust elon the company will never recover.

user365735 2025-08-03 00:37

When does China numbers come out?

Withnail2019 2025-08-03 07:22

Absolutely, it's just a cynical lie he tells his scientifically challenged supporters.

[deleted] 2025-08-03 08:12

Its pretty much a certainty that Optimus will be far more expensive, and far less capable than promised. Thats standard fare for anything Elon touches

Far_Addition1210 2025-08-03 10:43

its a meme car now.

tedontwo 2025-08-03 15:17

I hope you get the credit you deserve for this joke, impeccable.

fastwriter- 2025-08-04 05:51

A decent MG? That’s the best joke of the day. Had one as a Rental Car up in my Holidays until yesterday. The worst car I drove for a very long time. Yesterday it threw a fault code and luckily I could change it for a Kia. So not every Chinese EV is a good car. MGs are definitely not. Despite that you are right: There are a lot of EVs on the European Market that are as good or better at the EV Stuff than Teslas and much better on the ordinary Car stuff than any Tesla.
