Stock go up and that all that matters. Reality is not important.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-25 14:07

Stock up, boom. I hate this shit

Steak_Itchy 2025-07-25 14:07

Why in the world is the stock so green today? Fucking horrible lmao

lazylittleboy 2025-07-25 14:09

Me: Can we get an Uber? Mom: *We have Uber at home*.

Redacted_Bull 2025-07-25 14:09

Reminder that Tesla is currently being sued by CA for bogus full self driving claims, but sure, this is definitely going to happen and not an attempt to pump the stock after a disastrous earnings report.

Secret-Revolution172 2025-07-25 14:11

Fkn mind boggling to me. Ass backward stock

MattGdr 2025-07-25 14:14

Elon just invented the taxi!

Jolly-Bed-1717 2025-07-25 14:14

It’ll go nowhere at all.

MyUserName-NYC 2025-07-25 14:14

Dead cat bounce? After a big drop. It seems plausible. Plus options expiration, weak shorts, have to be cleared out. Give it time this stock had its best days. It will take an epic miracle to recover from the negative seeds planted in this earnings call. No one will be looking forward to upcoming earnings reports. They will all be bad.

Nick_Gilberts_Bowtie 2025-07-25 14:15

Tesla is a scam and a half lol

[deleted] 2025-07-25 14:20

Just let the buy the dip crowd have their moment. Stock will go back to going down after that

dkwinsea 2025-07-25 14:22

So the, just launching a taxi.

[deleted] 2025-07-25 14:24

habfranco 2025-07-25 14:28

Friday after earnings is always nonsense - lots of options expiring

[deleted] 2025-07-25 14:29

So, a taxi

covalent_blond 2025-07-25 14:29

I just hope Elon doesn't sue me for not using it.

Rhythmalist 2025-07-25 14:30

The fuck they are. Considering state regulators recently confirmed tesla hasn't even applied for permits yet, its doubtful they get both a DMV AV permit and CPUC permit anytime soon.

[deleted] 2025-07-25 14:30

So, a taxi?

Chippopotanuse 2025-07-25 14:34

So, basically not self driving at all. My Dodge ram also has a self-proclaimed “full self driving“, it’s just that I need to grab the wheel tointervene every time it starts heading towards a tree or another car. Which is about as often as you need to do it in one of these shit ass Teslas. But… This is Tesla, so stock will probably go up 10% today on this massive proof of concept. Liz Holmes walked so Elon could run.

Bulky_Specialist9645 2025-07-25 14:35

They're not. Tesla only has a permit to test. That's why there's a driver.

y4udothistome 2025-07-25 14:36

That’ll be good for a $10 billion payday

NatVult 2025-07-25 14:43

It’s hilarious that now they have a more expensive version by hiring a Tesla employee

Charming_Ad_6021 2025-07-25 14:45

So, they're launching a taxi?

Far-Improvement-9266 2025-07-25 14:48

The Robotaxis or the lawsuit?

BigBellyB 2025-07-25 14:51

Why would one take that option as opposed to a Waymo, the whole point is to get away from having to interact with a driver?

sanguinor40k 2025-07-25 14:53

Here's where people get to pick who to give their money to. Do you catch a ride with an Uber driver, where at least you know the person in the front seat is making some money off the ride, or do you take a Tesla taxi, where your money goes to an arrested development billionaire narcissistic egomaniac? I know what choice I will always make.

malignantz 2025-07-25 14:57

If the safety driver is wearing the Optimus dance suit, then it still can be considered a Robo-taxi.

dtyamada 2025-07-25 15:01

Ya. Feels like they'll need a driver and may not be able to charge customers since they are lacking so many of the required permits. The fact that they haven't even submitted them is pretty telling as well.

Mr_Kitty_Cat 2025-07-25 15:01

It has the will to live

dupontnw 2025-07-25 15:14

There has to be a human somewhere who can control the car. Shit happens in traffic jams, accidents, blocked one way streets, etc. It’s a city. You can’t have a driverless car stuck and confused and blocking traffic for hours. I’ve heard some stories about Waymo cars going haywire.

ZgBlues 2025-07-25 15:23

It’s a robo taxi which requires a human in the driver seat, and another human to monitor the ride remotely.

KaleLate4894 2025-07-25 15:24

Money laundering.  Crypto to stocks to US dollars.

Redacted_Bull 2025-07-25 15:24

Let us know when the SEC decides to care about Tesla repeatedly committing fraud to pump the stock.

luv2block 2025-07-25 15:27

They've lost all their executive management team. The CEO of X quit as well. Anyone who can afford to is bailing on Elon. The only thing that will save him is if he somehow masters AI and can have an AI program run all his companies for him.

Rhythmalist 2025-07-25 15:35

I mean... I agree with you and want to see that too. But I'm not sure what the SEC has to do with the CA department of motor vehicles or the CA public utilities commission giving them permission to operate on public road.

Real-Technician831 2025-07-25 15:39

They don’t need a permit when there is a driver. It’s functionally no different from any Uber taxi which happens to be a Tesla and driver used FSD.

CompoteDeep2016 2025-07-25 15:41

Your fellow Americans don't fucking care about moral. If the tessler is cheaper they will hop in.

Rhythmalist 2025-07-25 15:43

I dont know enough about the permitting process, but I believe they still need permits when under human supervision.

Rhythmalist 2025-07-25 15:47

This is false. I just checked. The still require an Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit with a driver from the DMV. Companies must enroll their safety drivers in specific oversight programs and comply with updated vehicle, insurance, and monitoring requirements

Squeegee 2025-07-25 15:48

So, a taxi.

Location_Next 2025-07-25 15:48

How long do you think the robotaxi scam lasts? Years I’d guess just like FSD. They will just keep launching driver assisted robotaxi services around the country—none of which will make money—and never actually release a “buy your own robotaxi and make money while you sleep.” Right? Just keep promising and never actually deliver..

FieryAnomaly 2025-07-25 15:52

So it's a taxi service.

KingofMadCows 2025-07-25 16:09

The driver's name is Rob, Rob O'Taxi.

dtyamada 2025-07-25 16:16

I believe I read they have a permit for testing with a driver behind the wheel. Edit: https://www.sfexaminer.com/news/technology/why-elon-musk-tesla-robotaxi-sf-vow-unlikely-to-come-true/article_e409cf7c-421a-4a0d-953e-a0f7e1b663d2.html >Tesla has had since 2014 a DMV permit to test self-driving cars with drivers in the driver’s seats, according to agency spokesman Jonathan Groveman. However, the company hasn’t used that permit since 2019.

AustinBike 2025-07-25 16:19

They should not be allowed to use "robo", just call it what it is, a taxi.

Real-Technician831 2025-07-25 16:35

You forgot it’s Tesla. They can argue that it’s not AV testing as there is a driver, but nothing prevents them from calling it a robotaxi. Only stock pump matters.

theartandscience 2025-07-25 16:50

So…a taxi?

That_Abbreviations61 2025-07-25 17:11

"The market can remain irrational long after you can remain solvent." Add this truism to the combination of today's tribalism, social network technology, and meme stock phenomenon... and you are quickly into cult territory. He can easily pivot from Tesla to Robotaxi to Optimus to MechaHitler and keep the faithful enthralled. The circle jerk will continue.

Beezelbubba 2025-07-25 17:27

Its all the retail losers who get financial advice from stock pumpers on twitter and youtube

ShotNixon 2025-07-25 17:54

Sounds like a regular taxi

[deleted] 2025-07-25 18:05

"No the guy Driving is called Robbo" "If you are called Robert have a current driving license & live in the Bay Area we have a great opportunity"

[deleted] 2025-07-25 20:22

So that's just called a taxi

Dch131 2025-07-25 20:47

Seems like an SNL SKIT at this point. It's so embarrassingly bad it's even funny. Just feeling sorry for all the simps buying the stock

mrbuttsavage 2025-07-25 21:47

These death machines are just a Model Y with a terrible, unreadable graphic on the side. At least you could notice a Waymo or Zoox or whatever a mile away. It's like they go out of their way to have the worst human factors possible.

cantusethatname 2025-07-25 23:49

Musk is starting a new business, Tesla Taxis.

FlipZip69 2025-07-26 03:28

So.... Not a robotaxi. Just a taxi.

[deleted] 2025-07-26 04:11

Fully supervised driving

Copingmethods23 2025-07-26 04:13

Is there a chance they just ignore CPUC?

TheInternetsLOL 2025-07-26 06:24

So a taxi, what we had for a century.

Withnail2019 2025-07-26 07:48

I think that's how it's going to go, yeah.

Icy_Carob7739 2025-07-26 07:56

Remember as someone said FSD = Full Supervised Driving. We have all totally misunderstood Elon 😉

judgeysquirrel 2025-07-26 16:37

So basically a taxi.

HickAzn 2025-07-26 21:50

Is it an Optimus sexbot in the car? If not, not a robotaxi

ComicsEtAl 2025-07-27 00:27

“Hi, I’m Rob O.!”

FamilyFeud17 2025-07-27 15:20

This feels like Theranos.

potatodrinker 2025-07-28 10:56

Obviously not the stock..it's up
