They have so many sitting around on lots, unsold, why not. Lol.

Dmoan 2025-06-24 20:28

Will all those unsold cybertrucks be converted to robo garbage trucks??

What about the millions of Teslas that will run Unsupervised-FSD and make money for you as a Robotaxi at the flip of a switch? Concerned!

If you have hundreds of people gettting in and out of a normal model Y, those seats are going to get torn to shreds. They'll look like a 20-year-old beat up couch within a week. So you better redesign the seats to either take a beating or be easily replaced.

Yes, more calls!!

Real leather seats will resolve this issue quickly.

There’s got to be a way to retrofit an aftermarket lidar system on them

All 10 of their robotaxi ?

beren12 2025-06-25 14:07

I think they’re gonna be neighborhood incinerators instead

beren12 2025-06-25 14:08

It’s the software more than the hardware

ResponsibleBadger888 2025-06-25 15:37

So what about the Robotaxi design they announced awhile back? All the robotaxis they have been testing are existing model 3 or model y, right? That's prob an announced product that will never see the light of day.

Model Ys, and that is the best choice. A model 3 is a poor taxi, too low rear seat, difficult for overweight and older people to get in and out.

They designed a long haul truck with no room for a bed. Like it looked fancy but didn't take into account the driver.

It’s a model Y with a cool taxi decal on the side and a kill switch under the screen.

LiDAR doesn’t need cleaning.  Cameras only is a death trap . Most newer cars have cameras for backup and right turns. Dirty often and reduced visibility.

They could install Waymo
