I am not convinced that is anything more than just a marketing error. i.e. they reused some old marketing material from back when the Y was sold as a 7 seater.

I have a 7 seater Y and that 3rd row is a joke.

Same. My wife tried the third row seats and had a panic attack

I was hoping for the rumored extended wheelbase six seater

We have a 21 y, I’m 5’11 and my wife is 5’8 we’ve both sat back there but what people don’t realize you have to cascade the seats forward. With some one back there it makes it hard for me to drive

It's tight for an adult but doable in a pinch, my kids love riding back there when the grand parents come to visit. It works it obviously not as spacious as a Suburban or minivan but it does what I need it to do. Not terrible not great is what I'd say.

it's exactly what it is. if it isn't useful to you why did you pay extra for it?

Im all for Personal choice … the only time I get annoyed is when a Y with the jump seats in the trunk shows up as an uber XL… that’s bullshit

I don’t know if the email was a mistake or not. Unfortunately I didn’t get the email but I am waiting for that version to buy one. People might think the third row is a joke but I use it quite often. I think people just like to complain. It’s an option like any other. I want one. Those that don’t want one don’t have to get it.

Tesla really needs to consider a Rivian like proper SUV. Both model-Y and Modex-X 3rd row are not convenient for any practical use on daily basis.

Because not everyone knows how useful something is in their car until they buy it and live with it for awhile lol

That doesn’t mean you can’t know these seats are silly.

Would be instant buy
