Also available in Canada now. Though with all this "I will hurt my voters worse! No, **I** will hurt mine even more!" pissing contest there is a chance that I won't be able to get a new Tesla to replace my current 2024 MYLR (lease)...
Yeah, seems demand may be low with people looking at their 401ks. I wonder when they'll start offering discounts. They also added a new paint color, the old black with speckles.
Damn RIP Induction wheels
How much more range will rwd only have?
What pissing contest? One politician is being stupid and a bully. Everyone else just isn’t putting up with it.
I honestly hate the Helix 2.0, mostly the color.
Probably the same percentage increase in range last years model got.
Another one mostly cares to get elected so he acts like there is no tomorrow. And if you did not know the tariffs hurt the buyer directly (and then the seller indirectly) and reciprocal tariffs are considered harmful in a long run. There are better ways to stand up to the bully than by punishing their own.
Also looks like the "include gas savings" toggle is off by default now. Not sure how long ago that happened.
My 401k is turning into 201k at this rate lmao
The Launch edition had FSD as part of it and this one doesn't? If that's the case, isn't this one more expensive if you were to purchase FSD with it?
Can Tesla change the price later because of more expensive tariff inputs?
tesla changes pricing from day to day with no announcement during a normal economy. they can charge whatever they want.
[deleted]
Looks like Launch was around $6000 USD cheaper if you max it out.
After I sank my entire portfolio into 5/16 puts I can finally afford one. But I still won't buy one.
Yes this was widely known that launch edition was a good deal if u were to get all options
Yup not a bad deal lol includes
If you just get FSD as an option then it’s still cheaper than launch edition. But if you were to get all options (tow hitch, $2000 colour, white seats, etc.) then the launch edition would have been cheaper.
Thanks. That's what it looked like to me. I'm not used to "early adopters" getting the better deal, so that's pretty unique in my experiences with buying "tech".
About to put in my order for one in Stealth grey with the black rims and white interior. Selling my 2024 MY to Carvana for $32K and putting $14K down on the new MY. My monthly payment is going to go up by about $100/mo but I’m all in on this new one. Pre-approval said they’d approve as high as $1,850/mo which is absurd, I’m only gonna need like $550/mo bro.
Good. It’s useless
didn’t include tariffs. In Europe launch edition was more expensive
I think this already includes it
I’d point out that reciprocal tariffs on someone tariffing you also reshape future trade agreements with other countries that are more open to positive trade relations. For instance, the United States is alienating *all* of its major trade partners, resulting in an overall lessening of long term options for trade they’ll have. Canada is putting reciprocal tariffs on the US, pushing the country to increase trade with China and the EU over more domestic US trade. Is it a long term harmful strategy in both cases? I’m not sure. The US, yes it’s very harmful long and short term. For Canada, it’s harmful short term but long term it’s definitely plausible if not outright definite that they could have better trade partners than the US has been or could be in the future.
Tesla can always change the price later
What ever happened to the highest model debuting first (or at least the same time)? Maybe the sheer volume is just too much to ignore with Y but I hate that there’s no performance option yet.
Gotta subtract about 2,000 off of that if you count the opportunity cost of that 8k in FSD going into a 4% bond for 6.5 years.
Nah
my brother in Christ this is not a Camry
Couldn’t have been long. Wife and I upgraded her 3 in Nov 24 and it was still enabled.
Just now and just for Ys. Still on for model 3
I think it was still there a couple weeks ago when I checked Model 3's pricing. Must be a new change with the Juniper Model Y.
Waiting for long range RWD
No because we’re comparing two vehicle that both paid for it.
Yeah, but they forced them into paying more. Tesla probably still made a bigger margin on the launch series.
Please share with everyone your foreign policy mastery of what Canada should have done other than retaliating and strengthening bonds with other countries.
Why couldn’t they?
The price today is the price today. It doesn’t have to include or exclude anything.
What about vandal protection package?
On my end it’s off by default for 3 as well.
Wait where's glacial blue?
Nah, it’s the same deep blue metallic as the old Y
Yes it’s ridiculous. One of the reasons why I’ve strayed away from Tesla for the time being. I wouldn’t care if I was being paid to charge a Tesla, I want to know how much I have to pay at the time of purchase
I'd be willing to bet they took the most popular options and went with that as their baseline for the launch. The pricing is pretty in line with retail or just under.
A friend just purchased a new 2025 Y (not the newest body style) for less than $35k after incentives and discounts. Just an FYI.
Sorry I meant the $7500 tax credit is on by default
Tesla canceled our order for the Launch series as well as another person we work with without giving reason. I guess we now have to select the options we want on the LR AWD or have our money refunded. For us is kinda a wash because we weren't getting the 20" wheels but fully optioned out the LS would have saved money. Would have still been nice get the Launch series random extras.
Ok? FYI there aren’t any new old stock left….
lol so like toggle it off? Silly
I asked someone at the dealership. Price is only locked in at time of delivery. Otherwise this is just a promise of a car - a pre order not a contact for that amount (from what I heard)
Launch Edition only.
They should have an "increased insurance premiums" button as well to make it fair.
For who though? If you switch from a 4 cylinder Toyota Camry that might be true, but the price is pretty comparable to my other car which has a ttV6
Glacial blue wasn't available for launch edition in the US
Well you happen to be smart on multiple levels. Congrats on the puts! Which car models are you considering?
No thanks
I was hoping to get a Juniper this year but now my Model 3 is worth a whole lot less. Disappointing.
Nobody is buying Tesla
Nobody is buying Tesla
Nobody is buying Tesla
😂
I would have thought the range would be better by now.
No one wants to buy a Tesla anymore. I'm stuck with my Model S, don't want to be associated with Tesla ever again, but can't sell it even at a discount, no one is buying. Car dealerships don't want it either. It's now the car with the worst resale value ever. Think about it before buying.
What year and options on that s. Considering buying used as I love the car but not interested in buying from them till they oust musk.
Those types of comments scare me about the internet lol. It'll take less time for that person to fix the issue he was speaking on than it did to post that comment lol
I find it useful to see how much I’d be saving, but I don’t love it on by default. I drive ~3,500 miles a month. Gas savings definitely matter to me.
You are just asking too much. Most cars lose 30% day one off of the lot. And $0.50/mile thereafter. The only holding of price is if the release cycle for a new model is long. Since Teslas constantly update ( eg swivel center screen or new camera layouts ) odds are your vehicle is dated.
Just traded in my 22 Model 3 for a C8 corvette, corvette insurance was almost half what the 3 was
[deleted]
If you were any dumber you’d be a plant
Literally stayed away from vehicle brand because if a toggle on the site. 🤷♂️
My experience was that Allstate wanted disproportionately high premiums for my Model Y, but Progressive was much more reasonable.
[deleted]
Nice trade
I'll take your S. What are the specs?
Some out there, just not listed on the Tesla website. You can use tesla-info to find those older Ys.
Are you sure they’re being insured the same? Your corvette might be “weekend pleasure driving” and not “daily commute”.
Is the one with acceleration boost coming later? If so how much more is it?
Acceleration boost is software, meaning any Model Y that is out at the moment will eventually receive this as an option to buy.
You showed em
Hey don’t be disrespectful to plants! Comparing this person to a plant is disgracing plants
Thank you 🤪

Highland LR was introduced first and Perf followed a few months later.
Says a dude who's pumped to buy an ancient and slow beater BMW :D
> No one wants to buy a Tesla anymore. You're sure about that buddy? Model Y #1 and Model 3 #2 in Europe in March. [Source](https://eu-evs.com/bestSellers/ALL/Brands/Month/2025/3)
Seeing the new byd cars coming out just makes new Tesla stuff depressingly mid
No choice in the US. Dunno if we’ll ever get to see a BYD, NIO, XPENG, Xiaomi, etc.
Demographics for who owns model 3s, where you are, what your age is, and cost of repairs all goes into it. I suspect it's because they are more likely to total out a Tesla if theres any real damage. Look at Lincoln, all of mine had 200-300 premiums (per month) because of who own and drives them where I live. It happens.
Yea its the same coverage no restrictions. its $580 a year for 250k/500k coverage model 3 was 1100 ish
Agreed that the demo for the Corvettes is a little weird when it comes to insurance, its probably also the reason its easy to find older low mileage examples for sale
Going from Tesla to Tesla makes that toggle extra misleading.
Ain’t no one buying. Toxic Brand.
Same I wish they'd black them out at least. They totally clash with the rest of the car's design.
Sentry mode has been there for 5 years now. Vandalize a Tesla at your own peril.
When will they offer existing owners the ability to transfer FSD to a new model Y? As soon as they do, I'm buying. It's a beautifuly redesigned vehicle. I like it so much more than the cyber truck. Folks have said they usually offer to transfer FSD in quarter-end promos. Do you think they will offer it in June or will I need to wait another quarter?
I wouldn’t mind the juniper y, the extra head height and space would be useful - particularly those auto folding seats. Elons antics put me off and as others have said that IRL range could be an issue
Don’t support musk
As the supercharger network expands, range is less of an issue. "Better range" is generally less necessary/relevant now than ever.
I don't disagree. The charging network is great. The ranges need to be closer to 400+ miles to make long road trips more feasible for most people. I take my family on long trips with our model Y often. Sometimes that extra little bit of range could be the difference between having to sit at a charging station with a long wait versus going a little further to the destination or a different charging station.
He's fucked ..
I’m on my last Tesla.
Plus it now comes with the mobile connector included
Fair enough. You're not alone, but generally speaking i stand behind my claims. Also I trust that Tesla has run the numbers and analyzed market data and have logically arrived at their current numbers based on their findings. Theyre trying to maximize production rate, minimize cost, maximize margin, maximize consumer satisfaction simultaneously, which can't be easy, and also can't make everyone happy.
Been driving EVs for 14 years, it's extra annoying and useless.
I'm calling BS. I looked into a C8 and all of the insurance companies wanted almost $2k a year. A GTR was even worse. I have a perfect driving record and over 40 years old. This is for 100/300/150 full coverage.
The average American drives 40 miles a day. That's it. There is literally zero reason to make a larger battery pack just to add weight and haul around reducing efficiency. For the 0.01% of people that need that range, they should look into a ICE vehicle.
Yeah...I'll believe it.
20" tires are much more expensive. You should take that into consideration.
Tesla gotta do something about there range man. Mercedes ev’s ranges is 390.
He is not wrong tho: March 2024: 34556 March 2025: 18529 And Volkswagen or Audi Numbers are up in 2025, so its not a general thingy.
Well, for the “long range” model, there’s more than “zero reason” to increase the range. Most people don’t need a long range model, granted. But for those that do, that should be an option. We don’t all live in L.A. The U.S. is huge and the network is still needing expansion in some regions.
lol, you’re sad you can’t buy a Chinese car? Save yourself the heartache and watch them crumble on YouTube. Q.C. is abysmal.
Cool story. As long as we’re sharing irrelevant anecdotes, I got the Juniper. Paid cash. Fucking loving every minute of driving it. Enjoy your life.
Just bought a Juniper, it’s sweet!
Reddit ain’t real life.
I just bought one. Best car I’ve ever owned. Talked to my buddy at his Ford dealership. They love Tesla trade ins. They sell in hours, not days.
Guess I’m “no one”
I'm not well versed in this, but the APR is pretty bad, correct me if I'm wrong. 5.6% or something. Financing is the only way I could get this car, and I was ready, but idk. I know how naive it is, but I thought maybe the APR would be better. I might still eat it, but could it get better in a few months?
Oh I'm just gonna hang onto my current car while the economy recovers, never know when you might become unemployed
Lol, I got lucky and got in some weird policy. My old agent attempted to see if she could get me an even better rate and best she could do is double what I currently pay. She was the one that got me into this plan. My 03 H2 is 540 a year and wifes Blazer is oddly $1050. Aside from that if you go to a corvette forum and search insurance alot of them are fairly cheap. They also offer NCM (corvette museum) insurance that looked cheaper. Most of the online quotes i did looked like what you got tho.
You have no idea how bad depreciation is right now with Tesla. My 2023 Model Y is worth $22k with only 27k miles on it. Bought new in January 2023. Two years old and its MSRP was $70k. That’s close to 70% depreciation after just two years.
Naw. Trade in value at Tesla is not the same as what it is worth. I guessed 30% off plus $0.50 a mile and assuming you have a $70K with 27000 miles that would be down on those two factors alone subtract $34K or $37K in value. Head over to Carmax.com and type in “Tesla model y 2023” and I see 93 in total or for performance, 20 listings. Sort the 20 by mileage and it’s either $38K or $37K for the 24K or 31K So take off 10% and that’s about what you can get from Carmax or sell of FB/CL. Damn, I’m good.
I went to carmax and carvana to get quotes for mine. I don’t care what they’re asking for inventory. I only care what they are offering me on my 2023 Model Y 7 seater. $22k is the highest quote I can get.
What YOU can get is not what the value of the vehicle is. I’m simply telling you what it was valued at. I’ve had cars that have had accidents (lower value) or ones that are in demand (higher price). But only the former dictates the value. Value is dictated by what it is worth and what it can be sold at. A trade in is not value, a wholesale nor auction price either. Value is what you will get by placing it onto the open market (including the above channels) and being able to sell it for. $37K is reasonable. $33K will result in sold on a private market.
Piss off loser.
ditto
Misleading people carries more weight than a toggle switch bro. And misleading people is EXACTLY what it was doing. Otherwise, why put it there?
Looking at my purchase receipt, the base Model Y is $34k, and the long range was a $14k additional add on. Is that how their receipts always reflected the price? If not, it sounds like that cheaper model y is coming closer to reality.
Tesla’s design looks like a rip-off of Hyundai.
Maybe the rear looks this bad because they didn’t copy Hyundai?
