I’m looking forward to buying this in 2031 when my battery warranty is up.

dellfanboy 2025-03-05 00:18

I hear ya. The current version is a STEAL. I have the current version and it made me feel like my car was 10 years old. The new version is so stable.

Was going to get a Juniper but I’ll hold on to my old 3 and Y given Elons and Trumps antics. I’m not super optimistic about the economy going forward with these people at the helm.

Best way to deal with inflation is crash the economy. 3D chess. Lol.

Waiting to see the pricing after launch version sells out

Yea, I have a 3 and Y. Not bad cars at all, but the new ones are just better. Glad to see continuous improvements.

Seriously!

Way better looking than the original Y by far

Same prices that were before the discounts for the old Model Y. Europe sold out the launch edition in a week.

decrego641 2025-03-05 07:31

Please do show me your 2D chess pieces you like to play with

decrego641 2025-03-05 07:31

lol ok

Avokado1337 2025-03-05 11:12

That doesn’t say much

Kayyam 2025-03-05 13:20

That's not how it works. Chess is 2d because it can de described in two coordinates. The shape of the piece is irrelevant. But here is a 2d chess piece nonetheless ♟️

rayquan36 2025-03-05 13:42

X-Axis, Y-Axis and Time are the 3 dimensions in 3D chess.

Kayyam 2025-03-05 14:17

If you count time, then GTA is a 4d game.

rayquan36 2025-03-05 14:28

Not if you play it with a SixAxis controller

decrego641 2025-03-05 16:36

decrego641 2025-03-05 16:37

MoDa65 2025-03-05 16:50

model y looks better than the 3, juniper is better than highland. proof: trust me bro

Quin1617 2025-03-05 17:47

Especially if you’re coming from an older car. No need to fret over having the refreshed model or not. $35k for a Y is insane. I drive a ‘05 CTS, and while it’s nice upgrading to any Tesla would be a huge difference.

imfabio 2025-03-05 23:42

Imagine a model 3 with the new model y back design..

Independent_Ad_4271 2025-03-05 23:47

I think there’s a lot of folks waiting on the new y to buy regardless of politics

QueasyProgrammer4 2025-03-06 06:07

Yes small improvments, but where is 100 Kwh for the Long range Model Y and a 130 Kwh 800V battery for the S/X....? I guess you lease your Y & 3 because selling them used will be tough.

TETZUO_AUS 2025-03-06 08:28

Might as well wait for HW5 at this point.

Dr_Pippin 2025-03-06 14:16

"Full Review Thread." AKA, click my YouTube link. Come on, make a summary at least.

Nakatomi2010 2025-03-06 15:07

Personally I'd wait until HW6

Nakatomi2010 2025-03-06 15:07

Gotta get those views man! That's why when I post a YouTube video, I make sure that there's bookmarks galore, so as to not waste people's time.

My family owns 3 Teslas from pre 2018. Never buying another

FA1294 2025-03-07 09:22

Looks like WALL·E

Flavoade 2025-03-07 16:54

How many miles you got on that thing?? I still have my 03 CTS but I kept having Guibo joint issues and it finally went terminal. It has about 165k miles on it. You should def switch over to a Tesla if it’s convenient and affordable. I have 23 Y/Performance and it’s a great vehicle. 23k miles and no issues beside a trunk connector.

Canuckle777 2025-03-07 17:18

I'm buying my first one! Picking up the slack!

neale87 2025-03-07 19:32

Suggest you lease. The biggest thing still missing from (non-CT) Tesla vehicles is V2H/V2G. Definitely better vehicles these days for prepping for the ride we're all on.

Quin1617 2025-03-07 21:29

168k, I bought it with 117k back in ‘17. My main issue is that something in the Data Link has gone haywire, but the engine itself runs fine(despite needing a tuneup). I’m definitely leasing one day when finances allow, probably a 3 or Model 2 if it ends up releasing. Unless there’s a good promo on the Y or S.

IM2MERS 2025-03-09 00:42

Never got to drive the old model y, but It's love at first sight with the new one.

LostLooking4Hope 2025-03-09 17:10

Polestar?

afrobrur 2025-03-10 10:29

Dopechess 2025-03-10 15:07

Weak AF

Crazy_Day5359 2025-03-11 01:14

My current lease is up in 2027, and I’ll hop on the juniper then!

[deleted] 2025-03-11 01:29

Local Tesla dealerships (if you even have one) have ZERO customer service availability. There is nearly no way to contact actual humans at Tesla. As a Tesla owner, I cannot recommend people buy these cars when the company doesn’t care 1 iota about service to its customers.

ibuybundy 2025-03-11 02:37

I drove a Juniper this weekend and had an opposite reaction. Sure, it’s better than my 2021 Y, but I drove away feeling that my current ride is not that bad after all. If I was looking for a new Y today, I would certainly take a great discount on a 25 over the higher priced Launch edition. Maybe the non-launch versions will change my mind.

transwarpconduit1 2025-03-11 02:52

TBH this would have to be 4d chess because crashing the economy and alienating your allies is going to require some Jedi skills to recover from. (Yes I’m mixing Star Trek and Star Wars references, so sue me.)

Con_Man_Grandpa_Joe 2025-03-12 06:16

Conceitedreality 2025-03-20 18:43

Buying these brand new makes no sense when they’ll depreciate 50% by next year. Used or lease is the only way to go.

moviebuff87 2025-03-22 21:02

Looks cool. $700 a month for a lease is insane though

nextgeneric 2025-03-31 17:10

That front facade looks amazingly sleek.

You have the last good version. Parking sensors are so underrated in tight European streets
