Didn’t mention ride quality.
Dude didn't even drive it
He said overall it was improved, and closer to the m3 in a comment
Its just as quiet as the Model 3 now and a bit more comfy. I have driven it, very impressed and this will sell alot
Tesla is quickly becoming a regional car manufacturer. They have lost Europe. BYD owns China and a good bit of South America. They can't sell in California. Texas is oil country.
If it's anything like the new Model 3 it's gonna be awesome. I was driving my wife's M3 yesterday and I was dismayed at how much better it was over bumps than my Rivian 😭
No thanks
Can you elaborate on the “comfy”?
Living in Texas I see Teslas everywhere.
Austin?
Houston
Surprising. Search says 300k EVs registered in Texas. Does not break down the manufacturer.
22 million cars and trucks registered in Texas
I am enjoying the FSD 13.2.7 each day I drive my Tesla. It is still not perfect but Tesla is getting there. Tesla needs to anticipate the the selected lane could be left only or right only when the nav wants to vehicle to keep going straight into the intersection.
This guy lands the hottest cheerleader and lets her do all the driving. Come on buddy give us something here.
Well considering they have 100+ year head start….
Agreed, but 1 percent is not "all over." An enthusiast with a little hyperbole is acceptable.
Lol what.

My highland rattles like a 1990s Ford Focus
I would buy it in a heartbeat if they ousted mustika. As of now I’m on the fence.
I would guess it’s just less bumpy with the new suspension and has vented seats.
Imagine being this obsessed with tribal politics.
Not very well yet.
The Tesla Model Y is the top-selling EV in Europe, China, and California (and the top-selling car of any kind globally). You have zero idea what you're talking about. https://www.motor1.com/news/749303/europes-best-selling-electric-cars-2024/ https://carnewschina.com/2025/01/13/tesla-model-y-became-the-bestselling-car-in-china-in-2024/ https://www.veloz.org/california-surpasses-2-million-evs-sold-milestone-reflecting-steady-market-growth/
Why does it sound like this dude has never driven a Tesla before?
Like it or not, that kind of sentiment exists, on all sides. Bud Light found out the hard way when they partnered with a transgender social media influencer: [https://hbr.org/2024/03/lessons-from-the-bud-light-boycott-one-year-later](https://hbr.org/2024/03/lessons-from-the-bud-light-boycott-one-year-later) >Our findings indicate that in the three months following the controversy, Bud Light sales and purchase incidence were about 28% lower than the same time period in prior years. >However, unlike with other consumer boycotts, **Bud Light has not bounced back quickly. The sales decline persisted for close to eight months, with sales and purchase incidence down by 32% in Q4 2023.** You deal with the marketplace as it is, not as you'd like it to be. Unless you're into sub-optimal profits.
True, but I'd argue that it's probably only a small percentage of people that are like this. For reference, Tesla sells the most EVs of any company in California by far. But regardless, I'm just calling it dumb, no matter how many people do it. Because it is dumb. Focus on individual stances that you agree or disagree with him on. Don't just follow a tribe with a questionably correlated set of stances and let them decide that he's a perfect angel or literally the devil for some nebulous reason.
Yeah it takes bumps like a pro. The suspension is very good in filtering out uneven roads. When you take a speedbump too hard it doesn’t “Thunk” anymore. There is a bigger difference in how the car feels between the 3 and Y now. The 3 is more direct feeling and sporty, the Y is more comfy but it does has more bodyroll and feels a bit more bouncy
Do a test drive and you will order one. The value for money, and how much better it is compared to the old Y is crazy
Like it handles everything else, more work keeping it from doing something crazy than you would do just driving yourself.
Why are you assuming he is basing his decision on "tribal politics", and not personal consideration?
Go here and take a look. [https://www.youtube.com/@savagejunkie96](https://www.youtube.com/@savagejunkie96)
Pretty sure they only had the RC demos then. These cars were likely just delivered and are production models.
I wonder about this; I prefer the Model 3 overall, but this seems to have some improvements/tweaks above and beyond the Model 3 refresh. I'll have to drive both to determine which I prefer.
Imagine being so obsessed with tribal politics that you buy an entire social media network and finance one candidate's campaign in return for political power.
He just had a fight with the right-wing over expanding H-1B immigration. That's not tribal. He goes issue by issue, rather than aligning completely with either of the tribes.
>it's probably only a small percentage of people that are like this. Whatever the percentage, there are observable negative impacts to Tesla's financials. Tesla's Q4 '24 report shows declining health of their automotive business: [https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1318605/000162828025002993/exhibit991.htm](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1318605/000162828025002993/exhibit991.htm) Specifically, look at page 7 Operational Summary, and page 29: Statement of Operations, and Year-over-Year comparisons: * In Q4 2023, Tesla's total automotive revenues were 21.563 Billion on expenses of 17.498 Billion, gross margin of 23.2% * Tesla delivered 484,507 vehicles, grossing about $44,505/vehicle delivered * A year later, Tesla's total automotive revenues were 19.798 Billion on expenses of 16.510 Billion, gross margin decline to 19.9%, and that is with a boost of 60% increase in regulatory credits. * Tesla delivered 495,570 vehicles, grossing about $39,949.95/vehicle delivered These are significant declines in the amount of money Tesla is able to charge per vehicle, despite an excellent Model 3 refresh and high priced Cybertruck, and a moderating interest rate environment. Tesla makes automotive products that are objectively better than what the competition offers, and are more affordably priced when similarly equipped. There is no good reason the company should be bringing in less money overall, with declining ASP.
I preordered it to be a family car. Do you think it’s suspension is good enough to have a baby in the back? Test driven the old y and i thought the car wasn’t really for a family car
Oh yeah, easy. It’s now just as comfy if not more than VW and Audi. Pretty big difference with the old Y

Hahaha. But it's a bit irritating that there are so different reports on that aspect. Though like with acoustic insulation, people seem to have brutally different scales for judging that - and/or the variability os high.
Hardly any more insufferable review value imaginable than some US Cheerleader testing a Tesla, lol. I can't even bring myself over to watch it.
Mustika? Like mystica?
Also, I just did a test drive in Belgium. It's nice. It is not a massive change from our current (2023) MY AWD, but all in all, it is great improvement. The noise level is lower, but unfortunately, in Europe, the Launch Edition has 20-inch wheels without wheel covers, which kind of beats the point, right: lower range, harder ride, more noise. The people in the shop told me the normal 19-inch with wheel covers would be available soon, though. Nice car, all in all. The back is a bit bizarre when it's not lit, as it protrudes quite a bit.
You left one part out, after they turned on him he spent a week implying all Pakistanis are rapists. That’s how he united the Indians and white nationalists who were arguing over him. He has cynical instincts too.
