Hopefully a regular long range rear wheel drive will follow quickly. My lease ends in May.

Yeah, I’ve wanted a Tesla for a while (not that I’d be getting one anytime soon anyway lol) but now it’s not really a consideration anymore. The R3 looks interesting.

[deleted] 2025-01-24 02:31

Owning one Tesla without FSD it’s enough for me. No new Tesla for me until real and safe FSD is finally on European roads

tjackson_12 2025-01-24 03:14

I’m gonna drive mine into the ground before I purchase anything new. 🆕

Loud_Philosopher4277 2025-01-24 03:35

Very clean lines. Looks like Chinese car :-)

DiscountAcrobatic356 2025-01-24 03:58

Nein!

prolikewhoa 2025-01-24 04:16

That thing in silver looks like Daft Punk!

Okay-Engineer 2025-01-24 04:21

this is the way

Knurlinger 2025-01-24 04:35

On the Austrian page it says „8 cameras including new front camera“ vs 7 at the old?

Casartelli 2025-01-24 05:47

So no FSD (contrary to US) include and more expensive than the most expensive old Y.

BrainWatt_252 2025-01-24 05:54

so chinese cars steal design from classic us and european cars, and now us finally steal it back?

TasteQlimax 2025-01-24 06:18

Yes there is a heated bumper cam now.

Knurlinger 2025-01-24 06:20

Nice. Just saw it in a video. Finally :)

code_and_keys 2025-01-24 07:41

So why does the US have the exact same price increase compared to old MY but they get FSD included in Launch Edition worth 7,5k? Seems like we are getting screwed over.

dantsdants 2025-01-24 07:42

perfectly balanced, as all things should be

ulTimaS1989 2025-01-24 08:51

Yes this is super weird, same price as th US model but without FSD. The only thing added in the Launch Edition is the acceleration boost (and some other crap like badges)

Admirable-Cobbler501 2025-01-24 08:52

Doch!

Long_stick2010 2025-01-24 09:29

Looks like a generic chinese EV...

Hayaguaenelvaso 2025-01-24 09:29

I guess because FSD is anyways worthless in Europe

ulTimaS1989 2025-01-24 09:33

Then make the launch edition at least 5k cheaper, because now it's more like a super high early-adopter tax.

edchikel1 2025-01-24 09:42

Subliminal message? 🤔

edchikel1 2025-01-24 09:44

The Chinese have no design language. It’s taken from European and American car designers. 🤣🤣🤣

h0tdawgz 2025-01-24 09:59

I'm waiting for performance and hoping on a price cut when the dust settles. So, in about a year I'm possibly buying. :)

sideshowbob01 2025-01-24 10:31

BYD much?

code_and_keys 2025-01-24 10:57

So why do they charge the same for it in Europe as in the US. It’s a 7.5k benefit we don’t get, but we still pay the same for launch edition

steve2555 2025-01-24 11:01

Why in Europe New Y in LAUNCH series don't have a FSD included? In USA FSD is included..  Price difference (around 10k USD or EURO) is similar between old LR and a new LR in LAUNCH series on both continents..

pietroq 2025-01-24 11:11

Unfortunately it is over ~~15%~~ 21% more expensive than the previous version here in Hungary. Was planning to buy one... Edit: originally compared to old Performance. So apples to apples it is 21% instead of 15%... (and no FSD)

Prostberg 2025-01-24 11:12

Oof that price hike…

Level10Retard 2025-01-24 11:16

Doesn't matter. FSD in Europe goes under "some other crap"

Tetris_Prime 2025-01-24 14:40

Because FSD is completely worthless over here, so I guess they don't want too many people to find out.

ChunkyThePotato 2025-01-24 14:49

Lol that's how business works. They will charge as much as they are able to while still being able to sell through all of their production. Therefore, it makes sense that prices will be higher than normal to start, since production is lower and demand is higher.

[deleted] 2025-01-24 17:26

I’m quite sure Tesla was first of the newer cars with its introduction in 2019 however I’m unsure when Rivian introduced theirs. Prior to that several vehicles from 2010-2020 had light bars on the back.  The light bar is what makes it look “Chinese” however, my best guess is they took it from the cybertruck introduction.

xtrumpclimbs 2025-01-24 21:02

Can confirm, I have it. It’s useless by now (due to EU regulation).

mrcanborghini 2025-01-24 21:03

What is the price of lowest model in eu?

[deleted] 2025-01-25 00:01

It's going to land like a lead balloon with all of Musk's antics lately.

Tickle_Me_Fast 2025-01-25 06:26

Limited edition badging! Are they selling these things to five-year-olds?

Jaded-Tear-3587 2025-01-25 11:56

Because it's illegal to use...

Jaded-Tear-3587 2025-01-25 11:57

Us prices are without taxes

Box-o-bees 2025-01-25 16:42

Is that due to Tesla keeping their main focus on the US or to Euro having increased safety regulations? Edit: Never mind, i see someone below said it's regulations.

Logitech4873 2025-01-25 17:16

No it's not. It just has 0.2% of the functionality.

Tetris_Prime 2025-01-25 17:18

It's a combination of legislation and a lack of focus from Tesla themselves. It doesn't seem like a focus at all here, Ford is currently the only manufacturer that has hands-free driving and that's only on highways.

Intelligent_Top_328 2025-01-26 18:25

YES

Femininestatic 2025-01-28 11:45

your freedom.

U-47 2025-01-31 13:40

we'll see how demand is. That's going to be a big question mark in Europe.

ChunkyThePotato 2025-01-31 14:42

Demand for an upgraded model is always higher than the old model in the beginning. This isn't a question mark.

U-47 2025-01-31 14:54

Tesla is about as popular a dead mouse in Europe for the moment, with good reason. And thats coming from a guy who has had a tesla preorder from the first day they were shown and driving one for 6 years with nothing but good things to say about the cars. We were planning to upgrade to the Y, now I can't imagine buying a Tesla again. I hope that passes but I fear it won't

ChunkyThePotato 2025-01-31 15:04

Nope, you're misinformed. Tesla Model Y is the \#1 top-selling electric car in Europe for 2024, and the \#2 top-selling car of any kind in Europe for 2024. It's extremely popular. But that's irrelevant anyway, because all I said is that demand for the upgraded version will be higher than the old version at first. I didn't say how high it would be. I only said it would be high*er* than the old one. That's all that's required for a price increase to clear the market. You're in a bubble and obsessed with tribal politics.

PassionNervous3309 2025-02-09 09:15

Agree, not even the enhanced autopilot is included, which have features all other new cars have today... To expensive, and not relevant for me right now.
