C’mon SBW!!!

Shygar 2025-01-09 18:43

I love the steering wheel on the Cybertruck, if the Y has steer by wire.

PotatoesAndChill 2025-01-09 18:44

Sir, that's clearly a squircle

Recoil42 2025-01-09 18:44

I don't hate it. But I do wish it was more.. squircle.

Chissler 2025-01-09 18:47

Crap. No blinker or gear stalk?

lululux1234 2025-01-09 18:48

It's a model 3 highland with an after Market steering whell

dlewis23 2025-01-09 18:48

You knew that was going to happen.

Radium 2025-01-09 18:49

A steering rectangle. Those seats look like the current 3/Y seats in that picture.

LurkerWithAnAccount 2025-01-09 18:50

^ this

Dont_Think_So 2025-01-09 18:50

Brings it in line with the rest of the lineup. Not so surprising.

CloseToMyActualName 2025-01-09 18:52

Did Musk really feel the need to reinvent the wheel?

woalk 2025-01-09 18:55

Tesla constantly feels the need to reinvent the wheel as of late. Removing the de-facto-standard USS, turn signal stalk, trying the Yoke and now this squircle…

[deleted] 2025-01-09 18:58

[deleted]

_Smashbrother_ 2025-01-09 19:01

I have had my highland for a few months now. The signal buttons are ok when you're just driving normally, but they're not intuitive at all when you're turning and need to use them (like during roundabouts or quick turns following one after the other).

ChouPigu 2025-01-09 19:06

No blinker stalk, no sale. I've been waiting to find this out and now I can cross the Juniper off my list.

Overall_scar3165 2025-01-09 19:06

Fugly as usual.

sheldonth 2025-01-09 19:07

still sucks tho

feurie 2025-01-09 19:09

It's completely fine.

ToonMaster21 2025-01-09 19:10

“Upgraded”

turns2stone 2025-01-09 19:11

Why would you even be waiting? S/X haven't had stalks since 2021, CT never had them, and it's been a year since Model 3 had them. They wouldn't keep them on a refresh of their best selling vehicle.

Past_Sir9069 2025-01-09 19:11

Changing the steering wheel just for shits and giggs

The_RealAnim8me2 2025-01-09 19:11

All these leaked images just confirms made the right decision in dropping Tesla for my next car.

Astronaut_Library 2025-01-09 19:12

Have you even tried it? It’s totally fine. Took me a day to get used to it. I do not miss stalks at all.

CrossingChina 2025-01-09 19:13

More like following the rest of the market / copying China, but yea it sucks

Tellittomy6pac 2025-01-09 19:13

Ayyy squircle

Pardonme23 2025-01-09 19:15

Another plain Jane interior

Linkd 2025-01-09 19:16

I can't wait to upgrade my M3P24 to this steering wheel

Chissler 2025-01-09 19:17

For most things. Using the buttons for signalling in a roundabout is awfull though.

raygundan 2025-01-09 19:17

I knew my father-in-law was going to die of cancer, but that doesn't mean I *liked* it.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 19:17

Knowing Tesla they will cut a lot of corners to save money, but spend like it's going out of style on LED light strips.

Logical_Marsupial140 2025-01-09 19:17

I have 2024 MY and simply go down/up on the stalk to go in drive/reverse. I drove with my buddy in his highland and saw that he had to go to the screen to go in reverse. I will not buy the next model Y with this feature, its fucking stupid. I can't believe people are ok with this garbage.

ruzi00 2025-01-09 19:17

Hmm... It would be nice if it has steer-by-wire.

Goobat 2025-01-09 19:18

Yep, in the actual leaked photos from the cold weather test you can see a round steering wheel.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 19:18

The Scout has the same "squircle" wheel so they're not alone.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 19:18

Until you have to signal out of the roundabout.

Chissler 2025-01-09 19:19

It is ok for most part. I just don't understand why the blinkers are not placed on opposite sides of the steering wheel. Having them both on the same side is awful when you have to turn the wheel.

TheBowerbird 2025-01-09 19:22

I'm pretty certain it will not have steer by wire. However, Lucid's Gravity SUV has a steering wheel in this same shape and it has been liked by reviewers.

TheBowerbird 2025-01-09 19:22

Also Lucid Gravity.

Electrical_Ingenuity 2025-01-09 19:22

I think it's a reasonable compromise between a wheel and a yoke.

Shygar 2025-01-09 19:23

I don't think I would like it nearly as much if it wasn't steer by wire. But worth a try.

ChouPigu 2025-01-09 19:24

I was mildly interested in getting a Y and waiting for the refresh made sense. I was hoping they'd come to their senses and go back to stalks. This and the leaked exterior styling have pretty much killed any interest.

webdbbt 2025-01-09 19:25

What a surprise, looks like every other Tesla except for steering wheel. (I'm a 2018 Model 3 owner.)

1988rx7T2 2025-01-09 19:26

Drive my friend’s cybertruck and got used to it in 5 Minutes. What a dumb hill to die on. There’s capacitive buttons on the ceiling too

Underwater_Karma 2025-01-09 19:27

I see no advantage to weird steering wheel shapes.

Astronaut_Library 2025-01-09 19:29

Fair point. I think the only reason it is the way it is, is to mimic what position you’d put the stalk in. It would be nice if they did one on each side, and contextually change which is which based on the position of the wheel (upside down wheel - flipped blinkers)

woalk 2025-01-09 19:29

But why compromise at all? A wheel is the clearly proven natural shape.

woalk 2025-01-09 19:30

Which other non-Tesla car uses such a nonstandard steering wheel?

frigoffbearb 2025-01-09 19:31

I test drove a cyber for fun and the thing I actually liked most was this steering rectangle. It’s surprisingly ergonomic

orangeatom 2025-01-09 19:32

neat! i for one love the yoke steering, i wish it was an option for all the models

[deleted] 2025-01-09 19:32

That stupid wheel only works if the new car has steer by wire. Otherwise it's a hazard.

woalk 2025-01-09 19:32

Well, it remains to be seen if the new Model Y will have the same steering ratio as the Cybertruck. If it’s still the same mechanical steering as in the Model 3 and current Model Y, it will be awful once you have to do a tight turn, just like the Yoke before it.

rigon28 2025-01-09 19:34

He doesn't need to try it, he knows what's best 😂

[deleted] 2025-01-09 19:34

Dawg I live in a city of roundabouts NO ONE uses their blinkers getting in/out of them. Most of the roundabouts are single lane, in which case not indicating is annoying rather than dangerous. In multi-lane roundabouts it’s definitely more of an issue to switch lanes to exit whilst turning, but the turning radius is usually large enough that pressing a button whilst maintaining the angle isn’t as difficult.

Electrical_Ingenuity 2025-01-09 19:37

All hail the squircular steering wheel!

worklifebalance_FIRE 2025-01-09 19:37

LEDs are cheaper than bulbs and run on less electricity

Impossible_Signal 2025-01-09 19:39

I prefer the current Model Y interior with the round steering wheel and indicator stalks.

razorcatz 2025-01-09 19:40

HEADLINE NEWS! It looks exactly like the model 3. What were people expecting?

Forensic2233 2025-01-09 19:42

It works well because of the steer-by-wire. In any other car it would be worse than having a wheel. Hopefully the new Y has steer-by-wire.

Dr_Pippin 2025-01-09 19:44

It's crazy, but I actually have to routinely reach down from the steering wheel to move a lever by my knee in my Porsche whenever I am changing speed. However will we survive having to reach a hand's length to swipe on the screen once or twice a drive?

Assaf42 2025-01-09 19:44

I like it a lot!!! can't wait to get my next Tesla already

Assaf42 2025-01-09 19:45

its not like we use it that often anymore... This design gives more leg room and wiggle room when getting into the car

[deleted] 2025-01-09 19:46

Not signaling literally makes it so inefficient because it hinders traffic flow. Mandatory in Germany for a reason.

JaggedJax 2025-01-09 19:46

I hope this is a joke

MannyArce 2025-01-09 19:49

Looks like no steering column stalks either. Ugh.... I hate those buttons.

turns2stone 2025-01-09 19:49

This is Elon we're talking about. Tesla goes forward at warp speed. Leather interior ain't coming back. Radar ain't coming back. Parking sensors aren't coming back. Stalks aren't coming back.

AtariAtari 2025-01-09 19:50

Teslas always have leaking interiors. No surprises there. ![gif](giphy|3o6nUWXbmFyee5xsLC)

woalk 2025-01-09 19:51

I wish people outing themselves for blatantly and purposefully violating traffic laws like this could lose their license over it. It’s really irresponsible to ignore traffic laws like this – they exist for a reason. Roundabouts are there for their excellent ability of managing traffic flow and reducing congestion – that doesn’t work if they’re not used correctly. And congestion can lead to accidents, as well as increasing fuel usage.

Logical_Marsupial140 2025-01-09 19:59

Tactile controls/buttons are more efficient and safer than capacitance. You don't have to look over, be distracted and then touch buttons. Why do you think aircraft cockpits haven't replaced tactile buttons with capacitance ones? I don't like the cabin controls in the MY due to having to go to menu options while driving and taking my eyes off the road. Taking away stalks further makes this worse. Its a move by Tesla to reduce costs and adds no value to the driving experience. I love the vehicle otherwise and its a shame that I'll likely move on from Tesla with the next model due to this decision.

SucreTease 2025-01-09 20:03

A “squeel” (square wheel).

007meow 2025-01-09 20:05

Tesla literally tries to reinvent the wheel. All for vibes and aesthetics. Form over function.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 20:09

[deleted]

woalk 2025-01-09 20:13

If the steering wheel hinders your visibility, you should really adjust its position. There isn’t even a dashboard behind it in the Model Y that it could block. And the “won” leg room should optimally not be used because you still need the full room should you turn the wheel 90°. Occupying that space could be a safety hazard.

420Deez 2025-01-09 20:14

2/10 rage bait

Teslamyeslag 2025-01-09 20:15

Wouldn’t they want to put that on the X or S first?

HIGH_PRESSURE_TOILET 2025-01-09 20:15

The yoke has lots of practical advantages, like not obscuring the view ahead, and being much more comfortable to rest your hand on the corner while driving on the highway.

007meow 2025-01-09 20:17

Obscured views haven’t been a problem for the decades we’ve had cars. And they certainly don’t override the cons, like roundabouts with the turn signals or turns that require rotation of the yoke/wheel

[deleted] 2025-01-09 20:17

[everytime i see a new tesla design decision](https://imgflip.com/i/9g5xp1)

stealstea 2025-01-09 20:18

Other companies sometime admit to mistakes and correct them. For example VW backtracking on capacitive buttons. I think it's not crazy to hope that Tesla is also capable of learning from mistakes.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 20:18

I’m making an observation — I’d invite you to go stand by a roundabout for an hour and count the number of people signalling properly. “I wish you lost your license for making an observation” lol grow up buddy.

B1Turb0 2025-01-09 20:19

Mini Cybertruck confirmed!

Tribaal 2025-01-09 20:19

Do you live in a country with roundabouts? Because I doubt this can work in roundabouts (you must signal for exit as your wheel is turned)

B1Turb0 2025-01-09 20:19

Love the CT wheel. Took a few days to get used to, but now large circular wheels feel outdated and cumbersome to me.

fluxxis 2025-01-09 20:20

So glad I pulled the trigger and got my MY in September. Nothing I’ve seen so far attracts me.

woalk 2025-01-09 20:21

> However, I’d like to see more of the road personally, not the dash. As I said: If the steering wheel is in any way in your field of view of the road while driving, you should adjust its and/or your seat’s position. That’s not normal. > The bottom portion of the steering wheel is annoying when I go on road trips and I try to lean back and relax while the car drives. More often than not my legs touch the bottom of the wheel and it makes it uncomfortable Are you perhaps a very short person that needs a high seat position? If so, I can understand that it might not be optimal in the big cars of today to get a comfortable position. But I stand firmly by my point: If you cannot turn the wheel in an emergency, it’s a safety hazard and you shouldn’t be driving like that. As long as full driverless FSD is not released yet, you are still responsible for the vehicle at all times and need to be able to react, no slouching back in your seat is allowed.

NoaLink 2025-01-09 20:21

Agree. Liked it better than a wheel.

woalk 2025-01-09 20:26

You were playing down the importance of traffic laws, implying you wouldn’t follow them yourself because “no one does” and “it’s not dangerous”. I don’t need to stand by a roundabout for an hour. I drive through multiple of them every time I drive anywhere, and it is very normal that people indicate out of the roundabout properly here in Germany, and not indicating is the odd one out.

Radium 2025-01-09 20:27

I prefer the cybertruck's design. The angled corners are way nicer imo. Could have saved money using the same wheel on the Y. https://preview.redd.it/7zt244oe21ce1.png?width=1638&format=png&auto=webp&s=2d9d806340bfdc1240ae2945170bdb5f4eb4df80

chaseliles 2025-01-09 20:27

I did a 30 minute test drive and was used to the buttons before the drive was over. I'm genuinely confused as to why people think it's hard or not intuitive. It's literally just a button...

[deleted] 2025-01-09 20:28

[deleted]

BlockOfASeagull 2025-01-09 20:30

If it’s a Tesla, I ain’t buyin’ it, no way.

1corn 2025-01-09 20:33

I haven't tried it, yet, but I'm not struggling with adjusting the volume going through roundabouts. For that I have to know which is the correct wheel and whether I have to scroll up or down. So I'm pretty sure the blinkers are fine, too. But yeah, can't say for sure until I tried. And with all the bullshit going on, I'm not sure I'm going to buy another Tesla anyway. Sucks, because I think the Juniper Performance will be a great car.

WrongdoerIll5187 2025-01-09 20:33

I really wish my highland model 3 had a cybertruck steer by wire system, it’s the one thing that is objectively a better experience.

chaseliles 2025-01-09 20:37

Possibly. I'm not really sure how it became cool for people to admit that they were so mentally incapable of making change...but here we are.

FredericBropin 2025-01-09 20:38

Aren’t the Highland seats different from the Y seats?

Suitable_Switch5242 2025-01-09 20:39

That works because the CT has steer by wire and a variable steering ratio. The S/X just have the yoke without the steering system that goes with it.

Suitable_Switch5242 2025-01-09 20:40

The steering wheel in my 3 doesn’t obscure anything except the top of the dashboard which doesn’t have anything worth looking at.

Suitable_Switch5242 2025-01-09 20:41

What visibility is blocked by the wheel in a Model 3/Y?

Cimexus 2025-01-09 20:52

Most American response. In Australia, Europe etc. you must signal both coming into the roundabout and at the point of exit. And the vast majority of people do it. The lack of stalks is objectively awkward. I like the buttons in most other situations - in fact I think I prefer them to stalks! But roundabouts are very awkward to deal with even after owning the car (Highland M3) for six months. And here in Australia we have a LOT of roundabouts. We use them everywhere you’d use those weird four-way stops in North America.

foochacho 2025-01-09 20:52

Tesla hates the round steering wheel.

DuneProphecy 2025-01-09 20:55

Looks great, highland will be getting these changes eventually.

ZannX 2025-01-09 20:57

Nooo a Squircle. My C8 has a squircle and I freaking hate it.

w0nderbrad 2025-01-09 20:58

Gotta get yourself an Asian bus driver turning knob LOL. Saw a ton of them in buses in Asia. Making tight turns by windmilling the steering wheel

[deleted] 2025-01-09 20:59

[deleted]

myurr 2025-01-09 20:59

> Hopefully the new Y has steer-by-wire It would make sense to implement it, as it makes the right hand drive versions of the car much easier to engineer.

DeinVermieter 2025-01-09 21:00

No, they don't care about those

copperwatt 2025-01-09 21:03

Think of all that real wood grain you miss caressing with your eyeballs, every day!!

copperwatt 2025-01-09 21:05

A whole new steering system would be a wild upgrade for a facelift...

actfatcat 2025-01-09 21:05

In the frunk

SufficientSwim141 2025-01-09 21:07

Yoke needs steer by wire for sure

[deleted] 2025-01-09 21:10

Yet they provide no meaningful illumination. The light strip on the CT, and presumably the new MY, is just cosmetic.

turns2stone 2025-01-09 21:14

We are not talking about a traditional automaker. We are talking about Elon. Not sure how much you've paid attention to him, but he runs Tesla like no other entity on the planet, and that includes things like 'rational decisions' and 'customer preferences'. To Elon, removing the stalks wasn't a mistake. That was/is his GOAL.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 21:15

[deleted]

balirious 2025-01-09 21:15

Thank God for it’s a real steering wheel. Glad that common sense prevails. Stalks need to make a come back too

[deleted] 2025-01-09 21:20

I hate that truck but that shape does look very satisfying haha

Officer-LimJahey 2025-01-09 21:22

Since the last update Autoshift works so well I rarely have to touch the screen. Even before that it was fine lol.

Unencrypted_Thoughts 2025-01-09 21:23

The Cybertruck's squircle is the best with it's drive by wire system. Not sure how well it'll be with standard steering.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 21:26

[deleted]

inatepro 2025-01-09 21:34

"Steering Woke"?

dragon5946 2025-01-09 21:35

Is the screen bigger? Looks bigger

majesticjg 2025-01-09 21:36

I drove a Cybertruck with its unusual wheel shape and loved the feel. I'd but this in a minute.

[deleted] 2025-01-09 21:40

A whoke

hutacars 2025-01-09 21:41

> And the “won” leg room should optimally not be used because you still need the full room should you turn the wheel 90°. Still useful for easier ingress/egress though.

pmich80 2025-01-09 21:43

I'm currently driving a rental Kia K4 that has this design. It's not terrible...I quite like it since it allows to see a lot more of the information screen behind it. But on a model y it doesn't make as much sense without a screen there

GruleNejoh 2025-01-09 21:44

Does this hint at Steer by Wire ?

PocoLoco7 2025-01-09 21:46

Wtaf? 😯

Pretagonist 2025-01-09 21:46

Exactly, I'm not buying a squircle car unless it has drive by wire. My country has roundabouts I need to use my turn signals while doing serious turns, both ways.

Radium 2025-01-09 21:52

Hmm if Y juniper is 48v architecture now to save on wiring perhaps it's steer by wire as well to save even more on parts.

Nobistle 2025-01-09 21:57

Ugly as always

Caecilius_en_Horto 2025-01-09 21:59

lol cry harder dude

CookieMons7er 2025-01-09 22:00

In the back row screen

ItsAConspiracy 2025-01-09 22:02

Because with a flattened wheel, you can see the instrument panel better. This is important since there's no instrument panel.

Vik0BG 2025-01-09 22:03

Go hug your Musk doll. Can't believe someone would think there is anything better than the standard shape. Wait until you need to avoid a crash and turn the wheel really fast. Musk mental gymnastics at it's finest.

Vik0BG 2025-01-09 22:04

If the wheel takes up leg room for you, it's not the wheel. You need to lose weight.

rhelwig7 2025-01-09 22:07

As a courier, I get in and out of a car several dozen times per day. The steering wheel being in the way is a fairly significant pain in my life.

woalk 2025-01-09 22:14

That’s what Tesla has the Easy Entry feature for, where you can set it to move the steering wheel and seat as far apart as you want.

woalk 2025-01-09 22:14

Ah, another one who admits they shouldn’t have a driver’s license. Lovely.

BlurryEcho 2025-01-09 22:16

Car model on center screen in pictures 2 and 3 do not have a light bar upfront, so I’m not sure why anyone is buying that this is a Model Y. Disappointed because this aftermarket steering wheel ditches the cheap plastic at the bottom, which would get rid of the creakiness headaches. Really hope they fix this issue.

woalk 2025-01-09 22:16

I thought the Highland doesn’t have wood anymore?

woalk 2025-01-09 22:21

Now I really want a car that has actual physical switches in the ceiling like an airliner, just for the effect.

woalk 2025-01-09 22:23

I hope this is sarcasm, as in no world is removing features “going forward”.

Abba_Fiskbullar 2025-01-09 22:26

And so, the squircle of life continues...

turns2stone 2025-01-09 22:26

Tell that to Elon. Removing all those things get closer to HIS vision of the future. If it’s not yours, there are plenty of legacy automakers to choose from.

hutacars 2025-01-09 22:28

Works great if you don't have anything behind the driver's seat. And have time to wait for it to move. And don't care about it wearing the motors out. I leave it off, but am not opposed to a little more space to get in and out without bashing my leg. It's not like the bottom part of the wheel is very useful anyways.

WonkyDingo 2025-01-09 22:29

AKA squircle. I wonder if that means Juniper might get steer by wire like the CT?

WalrusOk2896 2025-01-09 22:33

This is a highland

Longjumping_Clue5839 2025-01-09 22:35

It’s fake. Look at the car on screen and it’s a 3 Highland. 3rd party wheel, which is why the bottom looks longer than the top.

woalk 2025-01-09 22:40

I have long given up hope that Elon can be talked sense into again.

scallopwrappedbacon 2025-01-09 22:42

I wish, that’d be awesome

jobu01 2025-01-09 22:58

Pretty sure it is already a requirement which is why there are alternate options in case the screen is dead. https://www.motortrend.com/features/tesla-model-3-highland-how-to-shift-gears-automatic-screen-buttons/

Mundane_Engineer_550 2025-01-09 23:10

I love it but not a fan of that steering wheel design(not buttons I love that stalks are gone gone finally good ridden!!)

After driving the yoke for a year I'd beg to differ. The yoke is more natural to me. The wheel is only natural to you because that's what you've always done

TheHalfChubPrince 2025-01-09 23:16

And? What did they cut corners on to be able to “afford” LED light strips? Also yes the ambient lighting is for ambiance, not for finding your phone when you drop it.

John_mcgee2 2025-01-09 23:20

Well if your country is Australia then this squircle won’t pass compliance laws and won’t be sold in much the same way the model x isn’t

p3n9uins 2025-01-09 23:32

Yes! A squircle!

[deleted] 2025-01-09 23:36

They removed the driving stalks.

They’re not legal here

enjoyvelvet 2025-01-09 23:56

Disagree. The yoke on my X is awesome

Suitable_Switch5242 2025-01-10 00:06

Is that your eye level?

Brutaka1 2025-01-10 00:19

I love the squircle. As long as the buttons are physical, I'm good.

woalk 2025-01-10 00:30

How natural is it during a U-turn?

FlugMe 2025-01-10 00:34

I thought the Model X and S aren't sold in Aus cause they don't make Right Hand Drive version anymore? Does Aus actually have a law pertaining to the shape of the steering wheel?

woalk 2025-01-10 00:36

I have never heard of a single Volvo or BMW using a rectangular steering wheel. Do you have a specific model as an example I can look up? For the Corvette I would say it might make at least a little bit of sense if it’s a trim that’s geared towards taking it to the track instead of being a daily driver.

DuneProphecy 2025-01-10 00:43

CT has steer by wire which makes a huge difference.

John_mcgee2 2025-01-10 00:48

They sure do. It may actually be constant across all RHD markets and I get the feeling Tesla doesn’t care because they only make these special models in America

Rog4tour 2025-01-10 00:58

Are you a 3 foot dwarf?

tobimai 2025-01-10 01:07

No. A wheel has a point, that it's round. A rectangle is not round

tobimai 2025-01-10 01:07

But Cybertruck also has Steer by wire

DuneProphecy 2025-01-10 01:13

Model Y is now latest and greatest - we know what's to come for Model 3. I hope it has upgraded front motor and battery pack. Can tell the screen is larger.

TBakerTMarks 2025-01-10 01:35

This is fake

DuneProphecy 2025-01-10 01:55

China announcement has round steering wheel.

starkiller_bass 2025-01-10 01:58

But you wouldn’t know that for sure if there were a round wheel blocking your view

[deleted] 2025-01-10 02:06

casino_r0yale 2025-01-10 02:06

It makes it harder to signal in a roundabout if the wheel is upside down. This can be solved by steer by wire

woalk 2025-01-10 02:11

Come on, the EX30’s wheel is barely deviating from a circle. Not at all comparable to a true rectangle shape like this picture. Concept cars don’t count. Very few concept cars are practical at all.

ichabod01 2025-01-10 06:57

Shit, driver’s screen got moved there? Hope my kids are better back seat drivers than my wife.

woalk 2025-01-10 09:48

We now have confirmation that the new Model Y will have a regular round steering wheel, so we can stop this discussion here I’d say. But what I meant with “**such** a nonstandard steering wheel” was “a nonstandard steering wheel **such as this**”, i.e. a steering wheel as far from a circle as the photo, not something like Volvo’s that’s just a slightly modified circle and therefore still has the same advantages as a circle when doing tight turns.

Money_Philosophy_406 2025-01-10 10:07

Pretty quick debunking, a mere couple of hours later Tesla officially release the new Model Y and it doesn't look like this.

That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen on the current steering ratio without steer-by-wire. I doubt you can turn the wheel more than 90° using that technique, which you need to in many roundabouts.

Peeniskatteus 2025-01-10 10:23

This "leak" didn't age well.

majesticjg 2025-01-12 02:19

Which I also want because it would make four wheel steering possible in the Model S, similar to the Taycan.
