Any other owners having issues with the camera's picking up something in front of you when there's clearly not?

Recently been having this issue where my tesla thinks something is directly in front of the car. Originally, I thought it was a small issue since it was happening once in a blue moon, but it seems as of recently, I can get this issue to show up almost every day or every other day. Worst case, the car will slam the brakes at the very last second when coasting to a stop, which has been quite annoying. I've tried multiple scenarios and can't seem to trigger this consistently. Even worse, I'm not even sure what the culprit is. Having said that, on the plus side, it only seems to happen at low speeds when im stopped or creeping towards a stop. To try to figure this out, I've tried a few things * Driving at different times to see if glare from the sun or reflecting off a car would trick the camera to think something is there * Driving the same roads where I have experienced this with no luck * Stopping at different distances/creeping towards the car in front to see if it would pick something up Anyone else having issues with their camera's acting up like this? Anything work to resolve this issue?

You probably need to have the inside of the front camera cluster cleaned. There is often offgassing from the plastic and it can get a bit hazy, which is noticeably worse when the sun hits it at certain angles. It can be done DIY if you are slightly handy.

Haven’t had this issue. I’m sure that’s helpful to know in some way. As others say, check the camera cluster. You can use preview from the service menu to see what it looks like. The car should notify you if you need cleaning. Worst case you have a rock chip in the wrong place. It can likely still be filled, but not guaranteed to be 100% transparent. Would require the camera assembly to be removed for the car glass fixers to fill it I believe.. probably better to do that in advance then let them do it, or have Tesla do it. Alternatively you need a new windshield - which would suck for such a case, but it happens.

Mine always says the camera is dirty. I am like bro.. The garage isn't that bad.
