If I have the vin number is there a way someone could tell my if the Tesla I’m getting has intel or am?

I won’t have the car until Thursday so I can’t check yet. From what I read they switched part way through 2022. I’m okay with either. We just got a 2023 model 3 with amd and while grok is cool it’s kinda creepy that it’s mimicking people’s voices.

I have a 2022 MYP, HW3, AMD chip. I believe only super early 2022s (before March) still had the intel chip.

If it's manufactured in 2022, it more than likely has AMD. The switched early in January. All the ones manufactured late 2021 but are model year 2022 have Intel.

Mine did that last night once, and stopped when I asked about it. Grok said it was some setting I couldn't find to toggle it.

Have you used an Intel atom car? You don’t want one, and I should know. My 2022 MYP was manufactured in December 2021, and I have the atom. It works but is painfully slow. Even skipping streaming songs pauses for 2-3 seconds each time. Yes that’s not that long but everything is slow.

Would like to know if there’s a way to tell as well. Looking at some model 3’s on the Tesla website and curious if we can find build date data.

You can ask whoever’s selling it to go to the Software menu, tap on ‘Additional Vehicle Information’ and take a photo. It’ll be listed under ‘Infotainment Processor’.

AMD came to 3/Y around August of ‘22.

Our Sept’22 MY had AMD Ryzen.

Did you mean 2021? I had a March 22 build MY and had the AMD chip.

Oh maybe I’m mistaken and AMD came earlier in ‘22. I was told we had one of the first in Sept’22.
