What’s wrong with the adhesive one? I've had it on my car for 8 years.

Adhesive tape has worked fine on my license plate holder. 8 years old and nearly 100K miles.

is this the standard trim? can you share a link?

I wonder if it's gonna damage the paint! but if it works fine I will go with it

haven't run a front plate on any car for at least 15 years. Yes, live in a state that requires a front plate. Zero issues.

Yeah, I’m in a front plate state and just never put it on. It’s been a year and no issues.

Why would you want to peel it off?

That’s my point. In the event you want to peel it off, what happens? Bumper will have a scar. A day may come where you’re blessed with living in a state where no front tag needed and then you have a blemish to deal with. Same reason we don’t like poking holes. Idk it’s a nuanced choice doesn’t really matter.

That's what products like GooGone are for. Automotive adhesive tape doesn't leave "a scar" if you take the time to remove it correctly. That bolt on bracket is doing more damage to the grill with the hard mount than a strip of 3m tape ever will.

Yeah, because the Juniper hasn't been out long enough for it to matter. The point is you're fretting over foam that doesn't damage paint and chose a hard clip in contact point fighting bumps that WILL wear over time.
