2024 Y to 2019 S
For context I have had a 2018 3 LR, 2021 Y LR AWD and now currently a 2024 Y LR AWD. For context; 2024 Y is my personal car for chores and weekends. I also have a 2001 Porsche Boxster S that gets 1000-1500 miles a year and my work truck is a 2024 F150 Lightning Flash for daily driving. My Y has 37K. Acceleration boost, two sets of wheels. No FSD and no ambition to subscribe, although the trials are fun. In Vermont, and how I drive it just is more suited to use OG Autopilot with lane centering fits my use case very well or actually driving. I have an opportunity to get a 2018 MS 100D. Which I think is a unicorn spec. Free super charging, enhanced auto pilot, sun roof. 134k on the clock, one owner private sale. I have known the car since new. One front bumper accident and probably some windshields. I believe it has the 3.0 computer upgrade. I get there are trade off's with age and technology. But also it's a more comfy car with more real world range even with a 6 year old battery than the 24 Y. I th S has enhanced Auto Pilot. I believe the battery warranty is still in effect. I can keep them all and be financially fine(thought it would be silly to have 4 cars) I likely would get rid of the Y for this reason only. I am not exactly sure on price yet but mid/low teens is likely the number. For anyone with a 2019, how's the super charging speed? In the northeast, at least where I drive we've got two 150KwH super charger sites I frequent due to not being upgraded yet. What are charging speeds on average that get pulled on your now 6 year old S's. When road tripping the charge curve on the Y drops from 250 rather quickly. So even a more solid average of 120-150 for the larger battery isn't bad even if it never tops 200KwH. I know about door handles. What else?
