26 Model Y Rwd vs Awd

Hello im getting ready to buy my first tesla. I was originally looking used but cant beat the 0.99% financing on the premiums. Im just absolutely torn between the Rwd vs Awd and if its worth the 4k difference. I do not care about the speed difference my main concern is snow driving. I just completed a 1 hr demo in a rwd y base model (they only had awd premiums for demo) after we got 2 inches of snow this morning and im still torn. It handled the unplowed roads well but if i stopped on even the slightest incline it took a bit to get going. Im looking for people that bought the RWD in the northeast or a snowy state, do you regret it? Do you wish you went with Awd and if you have ever gotten stuck what was the scenario?

Which one are you driving? Ive had rwd cars in the past and usually its more the driver than the machine im just seeing what other tesla owners whove had to make a similar chlice think after having theirs for some time

If snow is your main concern and you're in the northeast, AWD is probably worth the extra $4k for peace of mind alone. RWD can handle light snow with good tires, but hills + ice are where AWD really shines. If you plan to keep it long term, I'd personally go AWD and not second guess it every winter.

Go with AWD

I want to answer this in detail as I have so so so many times in the past, but I can't keep typing it everytime someone asks.. Ask ChatGPT. It will lay out the pros and cons of both configs.
